  1. Looks interesting so far. What are you using for walls?
  2. Thanks, Dee. You know, it kind of does. Good old single stack Mack!
  3. Thanks, guys. Yes, the 1/4 fenders are on upside down deliberately. I believe that Matlack did that so that tractor could pull tanks & keep the road spray down.
  4. Very cool! Looks like The Federation is going to have to watch out. It appears that the Romulans & the Galactic Empire have a trade agreement.
  5. Great looking F8. Fantastic job.
  6. Looking really great. Very 1970s.
  7. So, Danno, you the "General Lee" expert. What's your take on all of this?
  8. Rick, You're the "Mack Guy", you'd know!
  9. Thanks, guys. As I'm looking at the photos again, I noticed that I forgot to add the windshield wipers! I kept looking at to saying, "Something's missing. The windshield doesn't look quite right." DUH!
  10. Your Mack looks really nice. Sorry for your loss, and for the loss of a brother firefighter (Chittenango Volunteer FD, Sullivan Fire District #1). Suggestions for improvement? Well, 4" hoses for the hosebed, or a hosebed cover would be good. If you decide to leave the hosebed open with no hoses, then it would be unpainted wood. The Mack 6-spoke wheels would be the body color as would the monitor (deck gun). The ax handle would be unpainted wood, and anything diamond plate would probably be natural metal colored (not painted). Check out Don Mills Models ( http://donmillsmodels.com/ ) for additional detail items.
  11. Thanks for the replies, guys. I appreciate the help. I'll have to look into finding the Revell Charger kit; I don't even know if it's still available. If I might ask, what's wrong with the AMT/MPC kit? Besides the fact it's an AMT kit, and it probably doesn't fit well.
  12. So, on a whim, I picked up the MPC "General Lee" Dodge Charger, and I've been trying to find some good information on detailing this kit. One site I found said that the engine was a 383 & should be Turquois while the body should be "Hemi Orange". Another site said the engine was a 440 and should be painted Chrysler Engine Red while the body should be Competition Orange. Both sites did agree that the interior should be tan. Any info you guys might have to impart to a "truck guy" would be appreciated. Here are the sites I found: http://www.di-namix.com/ModelCarFiles/howto.htm http://www.di-namix.com/ModelCarFiles/GeneralLee.htm http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Lee_(car)
  13. Looks like it's ready for Mardi Gras!
  14. I think you did an awesome job!
  15. I'm thinking I'm going to have to track down some Chevrolet Titan/90 or GMC Astro/95 kits for donors for all of these COEs that are coming out. The Dodge L1000, Marmon COE, Mack F-Series, & Brockway 457 from AITM; and these 2 Ford W-Series. I'd really like to see a decent Crackerbox & Ford H-Series as well.
  16. Nice looking LoneStar.
