  1. That's a lot more work than I'm up for. I'll just get Porky's cab. Assuming that they ever reissue the Transtar II.
  2. Well, I still hope they reissue it.
  3. This is true. And with that cab you can make some nice fleet tractors. Any idea what changes would have to be made to the frame to backdate the Transtar II to a Transtar? Just to backdate the frame (if necessary), not to make it a single axle daycab.
  4. Well, that's good. I suppose one could always "back-date" the Transtar II to a Transtar.
  5. True. I really how these kits get reissued someday. Round2 has already reissued the Ertl International Transtar 4300, so there's always a possibility.
  6. Sounds like urban legend to me!
  7. Nice looking Peterbilt.
  8. I'm pretty sure that Daniel's spokes are from the Ford C600 kit. He actually has several types.
  9. Looking good. Hey, how did Jackson get to Can-Am Garage?
  10. Isn't that one owned by Brad White of BPW Trucking?
  11. What type of spokes are you looking for? I picked up some 5-spokes from Daniel at Plaskit.
  12. Yea, I know what you'd say!
  13. Leo, what's the difference between the White Road Commander II and the Western Star COE?
  14. Rick doesn't have his Website up yet, but when i get it I'll definately post it. PM sent.
  15. There is currently no single kit for the "Smoky & the Bandit" Kenworth W900. That being said, it can be made with the frame, engine, hood & sleeper from the AMT Kenworth W925 kit, the cab from either the Revell of Germany W900 or T900 kits, a tandem torsion bar suspension (if your AMT kit doesn't have one) from either P&P Resin Works or Melbourne Model Truck Accessories, and the gold decals from Model Truckin'. Here are the links: http://ppvintagekits.com/ http://www.freewebs.com/mmtaer/ http://modeltruckin.com/store/ There is some debate as to the engine type in the actual truck (since they used three trucks fro the movie you have some options). You can go with the NTC350 from the AMT kit or a Caterpiller 1693TA from KFS. Have fun!
  16. You might want to contact Rick Mark as he is making masters for Dave, and is reopening his own casting line again. This got me thinking (always dangerous): if someone were to make this cab, how many other companies used this cab? Obviously Western Star and White, but what about Diamond-REO? Could a resin cab be offered for all of these companies with just a grill & nameplate change?
  17. I think you might be able to get most of that stuff from AITM.
  18. Craig, that red C500 is a real brute!
  19. Can't say as I've ever heard of a Kenworth D500. C500, yes, but never a D500. I like your truck. Good job.
  20. Nice so far. Are you going to keep the discks or swap in some spokes?
  21. I have that the AMT Peterbilt 359 (Kit T501) is a 1975-77, but it might be a little earlier.
  22. I checked that Website. All I saw was trees. Lots & lots of trees, and some other things; but no tread plate.
