  1. I'd heard this, too; but this is the first time I've seen anything concrete about it. I even sent Eound2 an email over the weekend. Haven't heard back from them yet, though. They're also listing the Fruehauf Texaco Tank Trailer for pre-order $37.99: http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=AMT684
  2. Black frame with an aluminum tank.
  3. Well, I've been working on this for a little while now; so I figured I'd post some WIP pics. I have the frame & suspension done & tank assembled. My plan is to plum the brake lines. We'll see how that goes. Anyway, that's where I am so far.
  4. Looking very nice. What are you planning on hooking it to?
  5. I currently have the AMT Freuhauf tanker in progress. Maybe I should post some pics.
  6. If you want really nice dashes, send them to Scott! No, not a chicken hauler; tanker yanker.
  7. Thanks, guys. Glad you like it. @Mark R - I've been trying to improve my dashes, so thanks for the comments. I think it came out rather nicely, too. Used toothpicks to paint the silver on the bezel rings. It takes some practice, but I'm getting better. I just wish the photo wasn't blurry. @Matthew - touched that up this morning! @Ray - Thanks. Just scanned in the cover of my copy & reduced it. Would you like the file? The Atlas I got from the Rand McNally Website. I wanted to make a mapcase or something, but I couldn't figure out how. Did have a "minor" set back today. Turns out the engine is mounted too high to get the aircleaner piping to fit. So, I had to remove engine, and mount it lower. See? These are the things you learn when you do things like this.
  8. So it's been a while since I posted any progress on my 1980 Kenworth W900. I haven't managed to get a lot done, but I did make some progress. Since the last post I've finished the interior (some of the "Old Timers" might recognize the book on the bunk), mount the hood & cab, and break the drive shaft while mounting the cab! It's always an adventure. I think it's just stacks, radiator, roof lights, & horns. Then we'll call it done.
  9. Try Chris over at SourKraut's. He should have just about everything you need.
  10. Now that's purple! Are you planning on a long wheelbase tractor or a straight truck?
  11. Very nice! Those cypress loogs look very "in scale".
  12. That sure is a big change. Looks pretty good. I like it. Sort of a "home away from home".
  13. Looks like a nice clean build. I like the two-tone paint job. Looks like maroon & yellow. Is that right?
  14. It might be, but I couldn't find it.
  15. You might want to see if you can get a hold of Arjan. Maybe he'll be able to post it on his Fotki site. You'll save a fortune in postage!
  16. You got a point there, dude! Also, if a modern trailer hit the market, there would be chatter about it for months a head of time. Just look at all the talk about the LoneStar. I couldn't tell from the photo, but I thought he might have scratchbuilt it, or something. Mooooo!
  17. Ah! Well, that explains that.
  18. Wow! That's shiney. What did you use?
  19. That is a nice blue. What is it?
  20. In this issue of the kit, it's a Cummins NTC350.
  21. True, and Miami is a suburb of Havana.
  22. Probably wouldn't turn very well, and deliveries would be a nightmare; but I bet it would ride the Interstate really nice.
