  1. That does look good with the T600 hood. I'm sure the T800 hood will look great, too. Do you know what would have to be done to the T600 hood to make a T300?
  2. Sounds like an interesting find. That's great info. If I were you, I'd hold off on posting pics from the book, too.
  3. Probably the AMT GMC Astro or Chevrolet Titan. You should probably consider making it a single drive axle, though.
  4. Thanks. Here are some Astro brochures from the 1970s showing color schemes that GMC offered: 1972 1973 1974 1977
  5. Illini Replica Conversions offers some cabs from the mid to late 1950s, including Kenworths, Diamond T, International, & Hendrickson.
  6. Yes, the AMT Ford C900 tractor would be perfect. Load the trailer with some mid to late-1960s Fords, and it would look great. If your more into MOPAR, the Lindberg Dodge L700 with late-1960s Dodge/Chrystler cars would be cool, too.
  7. Looks really nice, Paul. Great detailing.
  8. The Revell USA Kehworth W900 Aerodyne represents a 1976-1982 as the Aerodyne sleeper was introduced in 1976. If you hack off the sleeper, it can be about a 1973. It might be possible to "back date" the cab by using door handles from the AMT Kenworth W925 kit & possibly swaping out the suspension. I cannot remember when the 8-bag air-ride was introduced. If I remember correctly, the AMT Car Carrier trailer is an early 1960's trailer.
  9. That's awesome, Porky! Now, if I just had a RoG W900 frame to put it on. Will your Aerocab work for a T600/T800 as well? Do we get the rectangular slamlocks?
  10. Should be an interesting project, Kostas. I like the "posters" you have on the wall of the diorama. Where did you get them?
  11. Those slamlocks look more accurate. Much better. Now, I'll be the first to admit that I don't know a darn thing about resin casting, but I think y should plug the holes for the mirrors. Unless you are planning on providing specific mirrors with the kit. If I remember correctly, the T600/T800 use dfferent mirrors than the W900. Just a thought.
  12. Looks pretty good. Ok, stupid question time: what suspension is that?
  13. Ben, That's lookig really nice. I like the battery box & the engine details.
  14. Mark, I never built the turbine powered Astro, and the kits bring pretty big bucks on eBay. Rumor has it that someone is casting that engine. Apparently Mack experimented with turbine engines in the Cruiseliner & Superliner. Ray, yes, I think the 1973 & 1974 bruchuers had the same orange & white truck with the different stripe pattern.
  15. Thanks, Ray. 1977 brochure.
  16. Thanks for the compliments. It's starting to come together. Funny thng, I've never really been a big COE fan. Remember, I didn't paint the cab. A friend of mine did. All I did was chose the colors.
  17. So, who remembers this one? Yes, it's been a LONG time; but I'm finally going to finish this one. This is actually the second truck I started when I got back into truck modeling, but I was intimidated by the paint scheme I picked. Not being one to change direction, it sat on the shelf waiting for me to find the courage to do a multi-color paint scheme. A friend of mine from another group agreed to paint the cab for me. Here is his handy work: This is just a "mock-up", as neither the cab interior, nor the exterior chrome have been added yet; and one of the fuel tanks fell off today. I was hoping to finish this by the end of the year, but it's waited so long, I'll settle for the end of January 2010! Ironically I started this truck in January 2008. Next step: fuel tank, interior, chrome, done!
  18. Chris, I thought it was a 3406A?
  19. I bet it would sell well, too, Buit you're right, they'll never invest in tooling it.
  20. Those a nice little kits. I had a problem with the rear wheels staying on the axle.
  21. This site might help: Old Dodges, and this one too: Dodge Truck Brochures.
  22. The tires are the one big comlaint with this kit. Check here & here. You might be able to find something you can use.
  23. I hope it was brand new. Someone on another board suggested that it might be an old Dakar Raley truck.
  24. this should be an interesting build. Do they use this transporter trailer in Europe? I was under the impression that it was an old design. Never really having seen euro-trucks up close & personal, I must say that I'm partial to the DAF. I really like the way it looks. Good luck on your build, and don't forget to post progress pics.
