  1. Well, thanks. Tim's the real Peterbilt guru, though. I'm sure he's built several of these kits.
  2. A chemical tanker? You'll either have to convert the AMT tanker, or scratchbuild one. Phil Jensen has a "How-To" article in his book "Building Model Trucks". It's an older style, but it's a start.
  3. It's actually pretty easy as the cab & sleeper are seperate; and the sleeper is a crawl-through type. The cab is already set to make it a daycab.
  4. I know of a member here that is working on photo-etch door latches for the Kenworth cabs. All styles of the slam-lock. Hopefully we'll see something this Spring.
  5. Eric, thanks. You might want to check your references on the door latches. I don't think the "house style", for lack of a better term, is used on the daylight doors. I'm pretty sure they're rectangular. Those studio sleepers look really nice. They definately look nice with the W900L hood. Would they work with a T600 hood?
  6. How would one "Americanize" the container trailer? What about the other Italeri trailers?
  7. You've got some nice looking builds there.
  8. Heading to NYC? I don't envy you, Ray. NYC is tough to drive in with a car let alone a tractor/trailer. Isn't the NYC Sanitation Department up in The Bronx?
  9. Some friends & I were discussing this exact same thing at the Fulton show this year. One thing that came up was that the 1/25 AMT kits are based on the older width laws (96", I think), while the newer Revell of Germany & Italleri 1/24 kits are based on the newer width laws (102"). That might cause some diesrepancy as well.
  10. Kenworth stopped painting engines white around 1973-74, and I think Peterbilt stopped around 1985-86.
  11. Check out the videos Shelf One - Shelf 20. They're a lot clearer.
  12. Thanks for the tour! Some of your "pending projects" look quite promissing.
  13. Nice group of trucks you've got there. A little low for my taste (looks like they'll get stuck on speed bumps), but nice job. I really like the old Chevrolet.
  14. Looking good, Kurt. I agree with Dave; that will look good behind that Mack.
  15. Nice Pete, and the pics are pretty good for a cell phone.
  16. I like it. that looks really nice.
  17. Most of the transmissions that I've seen are either semi-gloss black or red oxide. Of course, Ford had their transmissions aluminum.
  18. Nice, Matt. Too bad I don't do 1/16. Should be popular with the Australians as they seem to do a lot of 1/16. Didn't you do a 1/25 KW "Aerocab" & W900L hood?
  19. Wow! Great details. That interior is amazing.
  20. The K100 that is shown is a later model than the AMT kit, but yes, it's a K100 Aerodyne.
  21. Yes, the Home Page appears to be dead, but you can get there by using the contents page. http://timstrucks.site.aplus.net/contents.htm
  22. Very impressive! Were these old military trucks that were converted, or were they a civilian design?
  23. It did turn out nice. Good job.
