I had mine about 5 months and then the engine went up in smoke, sucks that it got stolen.

I dont believe 2k clear is hot , I use Restoration Paint Shop 2k clear over Tamiya with no issue. -

They say its you either need to do it in 30 minutes or wait a month I have never followed that and have never had issues, Ive clear coated over Tamiya paint 24 hours later and no issues -
As kid in the 80's I loved those BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH hood ornaments and thought they were the neatest thing ever.

They are race cars, I can build 12 different versions of that kit, I really thought it would self explanatory why I bought 12.
