I think its time I get back to work on this one, with a new kit in hand, and with Bob figuring out what I couldnt when it came to the door issues, time to get back to work, my plan was to use the chassis and interior from the first one , but I have decided that I am going to start over , and I am going to finish the first one, just need to figure out a color for it. started work on the new kit, engine is done

I have decided I did not like the way the new side skirts looked, way to thick, so I am redoing them with some thinner sheet plastic, and the chassis/interior, calling it done for the moment

I went ahead and re did the side skirts, I think I am going to redo the drivers side door , and still have some work to do, one other thing that needs to be done, but I am not going to deal with it at this point is the ride height, it needs to be lowered some, anyways, enough of the blah blah blah, some pics

Well, since this is the Tamiya kit thread, I would say that its the soon to be released Tamiya kit, as for the photo, It looks like I am showing you the body, frame, interior piece, my guess, pre production , and the person that I got the photos from is doing a pre production test build. -

Chassis is done other than going over the brake/fuel lines. Used Tamiya Panel Liine accent on the lug nuts ' Working on the interior, went all black, flat black in the seats/floor, matt black on the dash and door panels And body pretty much ready for some fleet white aka Tamiya Pure White- 22 replies

Masked and painted the few areas needed black and started with the decals but that is where I am going to have to stop for the moment, had some issues with the decals of my own doing, the left side, every-time I would get it the right position, I would manage to move out of position, and the decal setting solution was doing its job and I stretched it in some areas and peel off a small part, then the hood, had it on, no problems, but to much handling caused parts of the edge to chip off, so I ripped it off. Not all is lost, a friend is sending me another decal sheet.
