Thank you guys @Geoff , wonderful kit to build, I had zero issues while building it, they did an absolute wonderful job with this kit, the only thing I am going to say is once you get the interior built, and the body is on the chassis, thats how its gonna stay, the fit is so tight that you will break apart the interior if you try and separate the body/chassis @Casey, you know, I did not think about that when I was making the plates, doh , I should of used PA plates , and yes, I have one more to build. @ Chuck, now I was not trying to disappoint you, yes, I can totally see Mack driving this one, well, not mine, someone else while trying to be Mel Gibson @Dominik , lets try this http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10289551 I do want to pass on one more thing, the interior bed is separate sub assembly that has the rear of cab attached to it, I am going to suggest that you install it to the body before painting, if you wait tell after painting, you stand a good chance to chip paint off. -
This has potential to affect new kit arrivals

Ohhh, dont say that -
Couple of things, I used a different set of tires , the tires I used are wider and not cambered like the kit tires are, so that is one reason why there is not a lot of tuck on mine, I used all of the Rocket Bunny parts for the suspension. The polycaps that come with the Rocket Bunny kits are different then your normal polycaps, they are bigger and longer, but the fit is not sung, so there is some play, which will allow the tires to sit not 100% like they should. The way to fix this is to glue the polycap into the wheel, that will get rid of most of the play, but not all of it. I was building mine to represent the real 1:1 version of the guy behind the Rocket Bunny , which is this one, and as you can see, the tuck is not like the box art either. After looking at it again, I was not close on the paint either, I needed to use a darker red.

Defective Round Two kits
martinfan5 replied to iBorg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Since I already added my one and half cents about Round 2, thought I would tell you a tale of the two Revells I purchased the Revell AG Golf GTi kit, well, like a few other people, my kit came with two parts trees for the Cabrio kit, so, I emailed Revell AG, and Revell US, Revell AG after clearing things up( lost in translation) which included sending some photos, they said they are going to send me the parts trees( I guess) , Revell US canceled my parts request and emailed asking me to mail them in the UPC from the box. In the end, Tower Hobbies is taking care of the issue. -

First Build - Painting Advice
martinfan5 replied to vroomvroom's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
For a first timer, and wanting to do a black paint, Tamiya black paint is probably the best way to go, its for the most part user friendly, will give very nice results Best advice as for the painting part, use Tamiya Primer, and apply the paint using very light mist coats, wait about five minutes in between them, if you do it right, you will not need to do any wet coats. -
Not sure I understand what you are saying.
