I am the third person so far , so who knows how many are out there that have the two parts trees belonging to the Cabrio kit, and are there Cabrio kits out there with the GTi parts trees ?

I do, I love super cars as much as the next guy, but I also love the 86 twins, and have built 15 of them so far, and still have more to build But thats not a fair comparison, you are basically comparing an apple to a carrot , both are completely different cares for different people , or, bank accounts. I know you are going to have a hard time understanding this, but the 86 twins are very popular around the world, people love them, people think, gasp, they are exciting, or fun to drive.

I for the most part feel the same way, but I will still get one of each.

I had an 84 , but it was not a 442, but that wont stop me from getting this kit ever does get made

Just got my Golf GTi kit Revell and Revell AG quality control is horrible, I am the third person that got the Golf GTI kit with the Convertible parts trees instead of the hard top trees.

I am going to agree with Mike, I will believe when Revell announces it And I wonder if he broke a NDA by posting that.

I have gotten bad at doing WIP threads, I will start them, but find that they sometimes(most) get in the way of the building, so with the good intentions in the world I will start one, but after awhile, I would just rather focus on the build and not posting about the WIP. I have cut back on doing WIP threads for the most part .
