  1. So it sounds like he charged $21.45 in packing fees, I have never seen anyone complain about SMH, I guess there is a first time for everything
  2. I have been dealing with Ronnie at SHM for a long time, and he is one of the stand up guys in the hobby, he did not rip you off , do you not know that shipping to/from Canada is very expensive, it cost more to ship to/from Canada then it does shipping to/from US/ Japan(model kits) take a few minutes, go to google, and type in shipping cost to /from Canada, and you will maybe understand Or Google Canada import/export fees, and again, you will see that its not cheap http://lmgtfy.com/?q=canada+import%2Fexport+fees http://lmgtfy.com/?q=why+is+canada+shipping+so+expensive
  3. And I think that was a good idea
  4. Care to share why you think I am wrong? Key word with that you said being "my", I think what I said holds some water if you will, I thought the Milarty instilled discipline , attention to detail, just a few things that I can think of that go hand in hand with building models, and are not most military /air craft model builders all about attention to detail, having the discipline for the attention to the details, I mean, from my little understanding of that side of the hobby, those guys wont accept a kit unless its 100% accurate as it can be, they build to perfection and for perfection. It makes some sense to me, but again, what do I know right? I could say that in my experience , Desert Scale Classic is the best model show/contest in the US, but I have only experience DSC, so that wouldn't hold much water now would it?
  5. I dont think that anyone was brought this up yet, but the key difference is the people , now I am just going out on a limb, or guessing here, but isnt the make up of military /aircraft builders of guys that were in the military at some point in their life, where as the automotive side, its a little bit of everyone.
  6. Looks good
  7. As much as I like 50% off coupons from Michaels, I would just be spending money to spend money
  8. Sometimes its hard to understand them when they are arguing with each other
  9. BaseBall has irked me, and that it means no Sunday night animation domination on FOX tonight
  10. Yeah, I know, I just never think to do that, but shhh, you are giving away my excuse as to why I dont reply , geezzz, thanks, now I gotta find a new excuse
  11. Engine is pretty much done, along with the radiator And a mock up And the tanks and steps in Alcald polished aluminum And more work on the frame/floor, this time Started working on the sides, this is the rear section, using .20, but not real happy about that, so I may see if some of the other LHS have .30 in stock , so I am sort of at a stand still right
  12. Well, I wish you luck on that goal
  13. My street is full of two story house's , trying to get as far away from here as you can
  14. Storage units are great, but there is that monthly fee, I sure you looking forward to having a garage sometime again The house's in my neighborhood that have three car garage's are all two story house's, come to think of it, I cant say that I see to many single story with three car garage's , I would like to have a three car garage, but we dont need or want a two story house
  15. Isnt that what garage's are for anyways, storing junk in
  16. Little bit more work on the engine and started working on the trailer, starting with the frame/floor, for the floor, I am using .60 sheet, and I am just using two I-Beams for the frame, not going all out on the frame( I am too lazy for that), just something to attach the wheels/tires to really, and add a little bit of support, dont mind my not so straight cuts Starting with the rear section of the trailer, cut out for the wheels, I have since the photo, that opening longer I am pretty sure you all know what I-Beams look like, but I still took a pic of them anyways and I beam and rear half became one I have since added the front half and the deck, and started working on the sides (but might be starting over)
  17. I dont know, my 2 car garage will fit two cars, and I am in suburbia hell, sure , there wouldnt be much room if both were parked in it, so only one gets parked in it
