G you are, right, I was mistook the smog for clouds , I kind of wanted a shade darker then what I have, I even used a black base coat, but I still like the shade. I have to admit, I was impressed with this color from the testor's one coat lacquer line, the metal flakes dont seem to be as big as in the other colors I have tried \ I almost went with black, I would highly recommend this kit

Dan, I did know that my friend , and yes I have looked through her owners manual, well not her's , (I couldn't understand her's) when I was trying to figure out how to change the headlight bulbs. I wasn't really complaining When I had a C availer, and if I didnt want the DRL's on, I would just engage the parking/Ebrake to the first click to shut them off, and I think when I installed the wig wag flasher, I just did not connect the DRL wires to, so IIRC, I no longer had them, but that was a long time ago

Thanks guys, yes it is clear coated, I know it does not show up well in the pics, I think it was part due to it was a over cast day .

In box pictures of new Tamiya 1:12 Enzo......
martinfan5 replied to Ghostmech's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
No way would I spend that much for this kit, but I really dont like the Enzo, even if I did, I wouldn't, I would rather take that money and go on a kit shopping spree. I built the Revell version, and was not all that impressed, I know this one even in 1/24th is better then the Revell version, but still. I will watch the WIP's on this one, just to see it. But I also dont build that big of scale -
Found this on another forum, Make sure when filling out, you do it in triple-kit, and then make sure you only use blue or black ink, and all words are spelled correctly and then send it along with the $1000 form processing fee by wagon coach to Harry, failure to do any of the above with result in not a darn thing being done.

And I am bad driver for having a little parking accident , wow that department must of been full of bad drivers, how hard is it to go from a RWD-FWD or vise versa I want say I heard that BMW is still having problems with their Idrive system . One of things that I dont like about the Mrs. car is the inability to turn off the headlights, at night, even with headlights turned off and the car in park the headlights are on, period. I know its a saftey feature now in cars and has been for while now, DRL/ auto lights, I guess it was just to much work for people to turn on their headlights when it gets dark. I am all for DRL, and I had one vehicle that did not have them, but I wired it up to have DRL . My car has auto lights, but you can turn it off.

Thats a good point Wayne, I really think a lot of the times, people are trying to come off in a non insulting way, but the words, or the lack of putting it in the proper context in word form, makes it come off like an insult. Just like what Wayne said, I am not building perfect models, but I do try my best, and have learned alot from this place, I am all for tips, or suggestions, but put it in a friendly way. Side not, G, I have looked at some of your non auto builds, and you do a really great job on those -

Its all how you word things, and a lot of the time, its never worded the right way, or sometimes people are just trying to be mean. Either way, if you have nothing nice to say, dont say anything. Unless the builder ask's, even then, try and word it so it does not come off like an insult to their building level -
I keep saying and feeling that the model company need to start looking at doing more newer cars, and by newer I mean from the 80's and up. I am one of the few that have zero interest in anything before the mid 60's and really. So If I were in charge , I would start focusing on newer subjects, because some day, the buyers of all the old kits, well wont be buying them anymore, and then what?. I think it needs to be a 50/50 or maybe 60/40 on old and new kits. I would also stop making and tooling kits that are almost toy like, and if the car has see through wheels, then the kit will have to have brake parts.
