  1. Well the trailer is re sided, I did a new lift gate as well, still have a ways to go with this one, its been painted white. And the lonestar is done, theres a couple of little things I need to still, the cab is not glued to the chassis yet, having the fit issues.
  2. How much are you selling the roll back kit for?
  3. Well had a slight set back with trailer and the truck, went to paint and well all I can say is at least I can strip the paint on the lonestar cab.
  4. For right now its either going to plain white or black, I would do it in Mark Martins team colors but he isnt going to be driving the same car next year. So I am going to finish it to where I can go back and paint in team colors.
  5. This is the generator compartment with the motosat dish, I am thinking about redoing the chrome finish on it, right now I used tin foil, but I think I might try some chrome spray paint and see if that would look better This is the lift gate with the holes drilled out for the taillights , but as you can see I did not do a very good job , I am debating on if I want to start over with the lift gate because I am not sure if I can fix it to make it look better
  6. here are some pics on what I have got done, some of the pics of the trailer things are still in mocked up status for the pics Here is the observation deck
  7. Using a image hosting site is that hard, after you upload the pics, copy the IMG code then paste that in the thread and done. It really is as simple as copy and pasting
  8. Getting some work done on the lonestar, the frame is almost done, the interior is done, just need to add a few decals. I have also made progress on the trailer, have got a lot done, havent take any pics yet
  9. Yay Me !! my lonestar kit arrived today, so now I can get started on the second half of my build
  10. My Lonestar kit arrived today, bought from model car express, he is one of the few that are selling the kit a decent price. Anyway, my first thought when I opened the box was, WOW!!, very nice, I cant wait to get started on it in the next few minutes. Moebius did a great job with this kit, I think they found a good balance of molded in and separate parts. I love the full color instruction book, but I do have a small compliant about it, well ok two. One is I dont like that the paint keys for the parts is not with the steps, and that it just shows what everything will look when complete, even with those two things its still a very good instruction book. Overall this is a very nice kit, I think I will want to buy a few more of this kit again. One thing I do like is the one piece cab and sleeper mold, I think it helps for a better looking finished kit. I am like a little kid in a candy store right now , and I cant see it all together with my race transporter trailer finished, Its going to be one nice looking rig
  11. I remember doing the same thing, riding my bike to valley west mall, and I do even recall going to the hobby store there, I don't remember then name though. I lived on 67th and butler so It wasn't that far of a ride . I think that was in the early 90's , I believe I was 5th grade. I also remember riding the city bus from 7st and Indian school rd to valley west mall to go see a movie, but I never really liked valley west mall, I preferred christown . On topic now, nice build there
  12. Here is the roof, with the A/C and a Sat dish cut out made Here is the compartment door that's between the axle's , hinged Here is the front part of the interior, yes I know a part of it looks crooked, its not finished and I have to get the top part of the cabinets on the right side in. Here is the view with that top piece off, its hard to see, but there are steps done there that are for the lounge ( still need to get that built)
  13. Made a little more progress on the trailer, I think the way its going I might get this done before the Lone Star kit gets here , I guess its takes a while for things shipped from Canada to get to the states . To be honest its not coming out as good as I was hoping, if I could cut straight lines that would make it a lot better , I have the lift gate done, well close to it, I need to do a couple of small things to it. The interior is ( work area) is almost done and as good as its going to get.
  14. I agree, I like this style of the crown vic's, I also liked the 80's thru early 90's style as well. Here is a update on this , I have done a lot of work so far, the interior is almost finished, everything but the radios have been scratch built, same for the light bar. I still need to do a little work on the lightbar. I took alot more pics, but I deleted them before I uploaded them .
  15. Trucker- the lonestar is looking good. Here is a small update, getting the interior of the trailer done, It didnt turn out as good as I wanted it, I was going to detail more of the interior, but decided not to. So I did light detail. The inside of the trailer is painted white , I know its hard to tell. I still have a long way to go , and then start the lonestar when it gets here.
  16. Here is my PCB, I am going to do a Phoenix Pd Crown Vic, I am basing my build off one of the cars a buddy of mine drove when he was a patrol Sgt. The down side is I have to use a diecast, I am not a fan at all of diecast, so here is what it looks like before I start working on it. I am going to take it a part, the wheels sit to far out, I am going to fix that, and then work on the interior. I need to fill the holes on the lower part of the bumper where the fog lights are. But thats it for the body work.
  17. The sides of the trailer's are done, here it is mocked up
  18. Nick- nice work there, what did you use to make the dipstick
  19. If its not to late , I would like to join
  20. Here is what I am building, this is a Featherlite race car transporter.
  21. I have got the frame for the trailer built
  22. I can start my builds now, picked up the sheet plastic needed for the trailer, the lonestar has been ordered.
  23. Have made some progress with the GTX, I have painted and cleared the body, I am now working on getting BMF on the trim. I have finished the interior, the chassis for the most part is done, I did lower the front ride hieght, I also detached the exhaust pipes from the axle, that was a bad idea. I broke both of them in half, brittle plastic, now they dont want to stay glued to the chassis, I added BMF to the exhaust tips.
