  1. Nice Deuce! You have a great traditional Hot Rod look!
  2. Welcome to the Group Sean! Aways nice to meet someone from Oz, especialy a fellow Modeler!
  3. We need more 1:24th Figures, to use in diorama buiding.
  4. You can billd a decent looking car from that kit, just lok at what Barry Faddan did with one. The problem is that you really have to work at getting the parts to fit. At $3 you can afford to add deail parts from Model Car Garage to improve it.
  5. The one thing people hasn't said, is the fact that Norm is a great guy, and he makes the very best quality resin parts you can find!
  6. I will be sticking with the methodes I use now, Alcad, and BMF.
  7. Yes today there would be no trouble registering and driving a very low Hot Rod, for which a lot of guys are thankful, but in the fifties and early sixties the Eastern States DOTs Hated Hot Rods and tried to make it hard on anyone to drive one!
  8. I did some research on the 69 Nova 427 Copo. Chevrolet only built 63 total, of which Donn Yenko bought 50, a couple of them went to Nikki Chevrolet, and the others went to dealers. The car became known as the Nova Lethal due to several Fatalities that it was involved in. Donn Yenko did his tunning magic on 39 of the Novas he bought, and sold them as The 69 Yenko Nova 427 SC, before deciding that they were just to dangerous at 560 hp, and over 670 fpt. He converted 10 into 396 SCs, and no one is sure what happened to the 50th car. I owned #17 of the 39 and used it for drag racing. This was one of the scarriest vehicles I ever owned. Your Copo is looking good!
  9. Nice looking build, but none of the eastern States would let you drive it with that ground clearance. The 12" minium clearance laws used to get a lot of guys tickets!
  10. Great job on the mechanicle brakes. This will be a great looking and different take on the 30s Gow Job, as almost all of them were roadsters!
  11. I also use photo albums, I get at Micheal's!
  12. I use PlastiCote Primers. White for bright colours, grey, red, or black for other colours, depending on the finished colour, and the effect I am looking for. Under Metalics, and/or pearles I Use Model Masters Aluminum Metalizer.
  13. Don't sell your Modeling Stuff, just put it away so that you will have it to come back to. I can't build anything right now and it is driving me nuts! I have always built plastic models, mostly Model Cars, and Military Models, but I also enjoy building Military Aircraft. I keep from burning out by changing between them occasionally. Even while I was Racing Grp 7 Slot Cars as a Pro in the seventies I built plastic. I still buid and race Slot Cars, and I have a fully detailed 1/32 Track Layout, photo of my Track are posted in the Model Racing Section of this Forum. I have never sold my Models, or tools, but I have had them destroyed twice, due to home fire and a storm, and I had a very hard time replacing them.
  14. Testors Enamels thinned with cheap Lacquer thinner. All of the Vallejo Inks and Acrylics. Testors Metalizers, Alcad. Plasticote Primers.
  15. Great Bubble Top 409!
  16. Great Diorama! Great detailing, and weathering!
  17. The worst thing other than p ain is that I will not be able to get to my work aera for about six weeks, I will miss all of the shows this year. Thank all of you for the kind words and sharing your experiances with me!

  20. Hi Guys Just want to le everyone know why I haven't been on for awhile. I fell and broke my hip on the 6th, and I have had two Operations to replace the Ball and wire my thigh bone together around it. I am now going PT before they will let me go home. I will try to post as often as I can, and I will now try to catch up on what I have missed. I hope that all of you are doing well!
  21. Hi Guys Just Want to let everyone know why I have been off line! I broke my hip on the 7th and I'm still in the hospital. This is the first day I have felt like trying to post. I have had a lot of severe pain, and they tell me I will ne a lot of PT before they will let me try to go home. I am spending more time in the hospital than at home. I hope everyone on the forum is doing well! I will try to be on more often as I am able.
  22. Virgil they both Look Great. The look like they are straight out off the East Coast Gasser Wars of the Sixties, They remind me of several of the Great Gassers that ran at tracks Like Farmington, Bristle and all of the other great strips of the period. I love the Look of those two Gassers.
  23. A Winning Pair of Deuces! They are both Great Models!
  24. Virgil doing a Bling Mobile, Now I've seen it all! Looks Good Virgil!
