Hello..Everyone, Hope all is going well. My Question is....Can i use The Tamiya Weathering Master (the brush kit) not the stick....applied over Allclad Chrome? My project is the Revell "Orange Crate" New Release.....and the chrome was as thick as a Tree Trunk with a lot of flash..so i have De-chromed it all and gave it all the Allclad Treatment... But i would like to go a step further and use the Tamiya Weathering....Burnt Blue....Burnt Red....& Oil Stain for around the weld joints.....and also for on the Exhaust...and what hav-ya.... I must agree...this hobby is just getting to be a cost of living expensive....well gotta have it ....Place to live...Food on the table...Gas for the cars..and this Modeling Car Hobby....all goes hand in hand for me... Although i got very lucky the other day...there has always been this very big store called Bruce's Trains...i have been wanting to go there for a very long time...but they are located about 20 miles from my home....well i just happen to be up that way...and went to Bruces Train Store....there i was eager and and smiling at the thought of another Hobby Store....well as i walker thru the front door i could not believe my eyes nor my thoughts the whole store (half the size of a standard grocery store)....was "EMPTY" .... Yes Sad.....Poor Ole Bruce Forced out of business..as he told me Poor Economy....but also spoke a lot of how the interent hurt his sales....BTW..this is the second large and best of hobby Stores closed here in California.. But the good news....and also the point of my saying is that he had plenty of Paint....Tamiya's...Model Masters (Laquer)...Tamiya Tape...Floquil Paint Quality Brushes.....Parts For my Passche VL-Airbrush .....and Plenty of other supplies...Oh a Great assortment of Sm. gauge wires....Dremels...and lots of Bottles of Metalizers...**** Priced at $4.29 per bottle **** well he EVERTHING marked at 75% off.... I walked out after spending $87.00 ....that is a saving's of around $65.00 ?.... Just a Note:....when all possible.....I know some just can't...But Always Support the Ma & Pa shops...they need are help...E-Bay and the likes have plenty of $$$....Support you local LHS.....Keep this Hobby Going Strong... I have had the pleasure of meeting John Teresi at the NNL West and to see his builds in person is just a amazing experience...The quality of Detail to been seen with the naked eye is beyond belief...I still visualize the Bently Blower....and of Course the JAGUAR Pro Mod....Stunning...
