  1. wow that really pains me to hear and he sounded like a truly lover of all things
  2. Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers
  3. Amazing job I would be proud to have that on my shelf I love it
  4. Yesterday morning I Got a call about this time 5am saying I should head up to the hospice. She passed at 7:24 with a room full of loved ones and my brother and I holding her hands. It was nothing like you see in the movies no last gasp or anything. I couldn't ask for a more peaceful passing. The sun had just started to shine and I believe she was riding one of those rays to her new home. Strange but I feel relief
  5. Idk this kit has a warm place in my heart. It was the first kit I took my time on and sort of got me hooked on the hobby. Granted it is not a show stopper but I always find it a fun build. Does this release have the high in the sky front end or the 90s lower front end? Even though it is basic I like the 348-409 with dual carbs
  6. I don't know the details but i'm probably guessing he invited the bas**** in from the kindness of his heart (known many to do so) and was taken advantage of. Rest in peace my friend
  7. They switched my mom to what they call passage care. Basically it won't be long now they say 24-72 hours. She is unresponsive now but the very last thing she has said to me so far is I love you too. I am not ready for this part of her journey but I guess no child ever is. I just hope she isn't uncomfortable. I lost a sister 10 yrs and one month ago today and I am still dealing with that. I know there are all walks of life on this board so I just ask that you would take 30 seconds and wish/pray or whatever that my mom has a safe exist from her pain; again I don't mean to get so heavy. In a side note a week or so ago I asked where I could find a 70 stingray (here favorite car). Well thanks to Mark Orr I was able to deliver on my promise of getting her a corvette. when I delivered it that was the last I saw her smile. Again I thank you for your support you have shown. I don't have many people to talk to about this so that is why this message is here

  16. I met her and him once at MN back to the 50's I think it was 02-03ish and they walked by my dodge holding each others hand and I sort of stalked them for a bit cause I didn't know if they would mind being bothered super nice people I talked with them for a few minutes. she was very sweet and asked which car was mine. I was embarassed to say which one. Very sad to hear my heart goes out to Don because you could tell there was a strong bond there. I still don't know if they were part of a booth or just at the show.

  19. I did the same thing about 5 yrs ago I was with a big name Co. and when I switched I actually got better coverage for my three cars plus renters insurance which I didn't have before and still paid less then with the other folks
  20. So as I walk into the modeling room today I got a bit of a surprise. My step-son 9 (also a model builder) decided to check out a bunch of my kits and started mixing and matching different kits. I caught him mid-way through and of course he wasn't sure what came from where. Just glad he didn't start pulling parts off of sprues. So I had to sit him down and have a talk about it. As I start cleaning up I see he was on the right track with one he had the chopped 27 T-body from the double t kit and set the twin blown hemi from the stude starliner kit and it looked pretty darn wicked. I see talent. Tonight when he goes to bed I am mixing up parts from his three kits so he will know what a pain it is finding the right home for everything. He he he
