  1. Sam number one I dig the cut out on the fenders and the Hood I like them. I have never posted a rat rod. But I know I am not a great builder for several reasons time work etc. Hell my 9 yr old step son can paint better then i can. I do this for fun one of the first builds I posted Harry p. Suggested to fix the what he calls the magic floating alternator and I did and on ever build since I have made sure the alternator is held by some form of bracket. It may not be correct but it is there. I as a builder who wish to improve on every build I can point out tons of things I don't like with each of my models and great guys like joker, ace and Harry point things out to improve everybody's models plus make suggestiions on how to do that. Again I say you did a lot of things right it is a neat build I understand it was what I call a slump buster. I concede the fact that constructive criticism is a delicate art of not bashing a persons build but uplifting the things that are right then saying hey here is an idea to make the next one even better I am always open to it. if a did post a rat rod at one time what can I improve on?
  2. take out those false teeth baby and let me suck on those gums.
  3. OK I would like to see that
  4. I see the product so it is like an abrasive tape that you put on the u shaped metal frame? From the pictures it looks sort of wide so is it able to sand very tight compound curves for instance where two exhaust pipes come to a V into a catalytic converter? Will it wrap completely around a drive shaft or does it sand like 180° at a time? Hope those questions make sense
  5. I was wondering if anyone of you folks have made a handy tool to help you sand circular parts or have any tips? No matter how hard I try I always seem to get flat spots on exhaust when I sand the mold seams off them Grrrr.
  6. I'm still trying to plug away so far I am waiting for the tenors to lighten up so I can do some detail painting and plug wires
  7. I am all over the map when it comes to music I like all sorts of genres. Pretty much everything but opera and rap/hip hop. But my favorites are punk ska reggae classic rock alternative and jazz. Bands and artists I like Bob Marley. Peter Tosh. Lana del ray. Phoenix The Clash. sublime. Sonic youth. Portishead. Jackson Browne. Smashing pumpkins. The cure the Smiths. Pretenders heart. Banana ramma go-gos. Dave Brubeck. Medeskl Martin wood. Chemical brothers. Jethro Tull Atlanta rhythm section. Little river band. Tool megadeth anthrax. Wagner(pronounced vagner classical music) Brian setzer Told ya I was all over the map and I could keep going I have 240,000 songs on my computer last time I checked that does include my CDs and records it probably be easier to list music I don't like
  8. I still have my rubber soul and yellow sub records that I bought used in my teens granted I was born after they broke up but their music is timeless IMHO
  9. I am a child of the 80's and remember my neighbors had a mercury ln7? Think that was the name. I liked the looks of it but after a couple years I remember when he drove by it ticked like a timebomb. I also remember him bragging to my dad that on a long trip out west he got like 40 something MPG and that was in the 80's I can't wait to see the contents of this kit hope you post pics when u get it
  10. As someone mentioned it is a 11.30 etc car so I am guessing DOT slicks in rear and normal street tires. Here at BIR you don't really start to see full on slicks and skinnys til mid-low 10's not always but mostly
  11. I like testor's one coat lacquer paints the name is a lie but looks great after a few coats
  12. I know exactly what you mean I tried to put a set of round 2 accessory pack white walls on mine awhile ago and it was a no go and they are only millimeters of difference between the two tires
  13. Great job. Never liked those turbine rims in that kit but they look good on yours
  14. No magical floating alternator darn. But really super nice work it looks amazing
  15. I like it wasn't called a suburban though was it?
  16. It is called constructive criticism. I'm am sure there was no ill intent. Just like there is none intended as i write this. I do have to agree with him hammer out the basics first. Your model has a couple issues and there are things you did very well on. We as a modeling group are all here to support and help each other build the best models we can.
  17. I have never had a problem with revell. Just go to the customer service part of their parts list parts missing from kit and get them in the mail in a couple weeks if kit is in production still
  18. couldn't. Agree more being an ex addict myself though I disagree that some say it's a disease it's a choice not a disease. I'm still an addict but my addiction is plastic now lol
  19. I read too right now it is the art of racing in the rain great bool
  20. Those were good strong trucks
  21. I have a total of one game on my phone it is called hill climb racing their latest update is the best it looks similar to the bluesmobile and as you take it over jumps and such doors hoods siren and such fall off. I don't think that's a coincidence. I always liked the game since I saw my nephew playing it but now I drive the bluesmobile (cop car in the game) exclusively and have more fun then ever
  22. If it were mine I would do what you said repaint the body and jazz it up a bit. I really can't wait to see what you do with this
