I bought the revell 79 camaro and when I looked at the instructions for the race version I had a big laugh. Like some guy is going to run a blown 350 threw a stock exhaust with a cat converter. I know a lot of hours use solder for headers and pipes. I priced some the other day and it's not cheap! A guy like me who learns through mistakes would probably waste a lot of it until I got it right. It looks like an expensive learning curve. Do you guys use anything else for exhausts? Something a bit cheaper? For those guys who use solder am I right in guessing you use the rosin core stuff? does the acid core have a negative effect on models after time?

I don't know who in their right mind would of bought one. But that's just me

The pictures make my heart ache when I see this destruction. I think of all the things some families lost including loved ones. But on the other hand I am also thankful for all of those who were spared major damage. Like others said my minnesota home doesn't look so bad now.

thanks 72 coronet that answered all my questions except the hood issue. From that it seems like everything except the flat hood was dealer or aftermarket and has no reason to it?

Those seats look like the 65 el' camino seats for stock and drag versions but they probably came in other kits too. I agree it looks like a BBC. To me also. But I also think I see an E-body console

It varies on 1:1 cars. I've seen them as narrow as 1/2" and fairly wide on landau tops like what your trying to do. I wish I could be more help but I'm sure someone will pop up with a better answer. I think you'd be safe using .80mm half round up to a 1.25mm half round

I've been researching 1971 plymouth dusters for a future AMT build and I now have more questions then answers. I've seen the 340 painted both blue and orange. I'm assuming blue is the correct color? What is a testor or tamiya color that is close to the blue or orange? Next I can't seem to find the correct answer for which 340 engine option package would use the dual scoop hood or just a flat hood. Then there seems to be yet a third style of hood that had a centered dual snorkel scoop. Can someone give me some answers please? Thanks

Ooooooh yes I forgot about the wonderful 4-6-8 the car that my folks had that used more gas running on 4 cylinders then when it was running on 8 or so my dad claimed. I just remember there was always something wrong with it. Not to mention that it couldn't get out of it's own way.

I have an uncle who is 72 I went up to visit him stopped by his house and his gf said he was at his warehouse. I go to his warehouse foolishly looking for him on the ground but found him up 30+ feet in the air walking a beam and welding on rafter. I look at him and can't imagine doing things like that at 72!!!!!

life's been good to me so far. I am more in tune with ringo star. No no no no I don't "sniff" anymore. I'm tired of waking up on the floor. I still have an adult beverage once and awhile except for saturday my last adult beverage was St. patrick's day the other stuff it's been quite a long time since I touched those kind things.

So this last week I heard there was a band I really liked playing downtown. So I got a couple tickets for The English Beat and I mentioned I was going to a friend and he said he wanted to go. I grab a ticket for him. So saturday night comes around and we all meet up. Mid way through the show I ask, my buddy adam(22) how he is liking the show and like a slap in the face he replies "i like this old music". Oh boy did that hurt. But no it didn't end there. After a few adult beverages and being up til 3 am . I woke up this morning realizing I can't do stuff like that anymore without paying the piper so to speak. Now I threw off my whole schedule and I'm wide awake at 1am with appointments to go to in 5 hours. I finally know I'm not a teenager any more.
