  1. Nice job on pulling this one together. Love the color and those tall velocity stacks... Not much of an altered wheel based follower, but this one looks the part. Great execution!
  2. Sweet Mustang Dave. Did you cut that car up to turn it into a super pro street? Looks like it was a perfect body, nice car to run.
  3. Joe here is the link to one of the posts that Dave has on the Site about turning and milling your own wheels. www.scalemotorcars.com/content.php?r=295-Machining-1-8th-scale-Beadlock-Rims-Part-1 He has a very detailed and breaks down the process for anyone to understand. I have to say it is fun using a lathe and mill. Takes some time getting use to. In fact should have my own wheels turned as well soon enough. Excited to have a finished product of my own.
  4. That picture is a Henry J, usually you would find them as a gasser.
  5. Tyrone, I have to say this build has all the bells and whistles. You have really out done yourself with the detail on this nova. This is definitely a keeper. Congrats on bringing this one to a close, can't wait to see what you have in store next.
  6. Great job Joe, what a knock out job you have done. Would love to see it up close and personal to really see that gloss shine and your carbon fiber job. Keep them updates coming.
  7. Don by chance you have any updates on this wild build?
  8. I see, some money leaving my hands in the near future! Scott you are gonna make me go broke. I didn't see anything around Harness' in 1/16 scale, is this later down the road?
  9. LUC, you are going to have some insane money in this project! That block is looking pretty cool.
  10. Very impressive Jimmy, nice mock up of the Vega. So you did the basic shape in foam then fiberglassed over it, then to come back and sling some bondo on it? I take it you plan to carve in the details into the bondo then? Will you then throw on some more fiberglass to get your final product at that point? I have my eye on this build for sure!
  11. Art, if I may suggest you might want to put some sort of Watermark across the decal when you post them up. Not saying anyone will do it, but posting something you have taken a lot of time to do, and such clear pictures. Someone may try and blow the picture up and use them. Of course they wont be a perfect as being printed from the original and of course on an alps printer. But I would hate for someone to rip off your decal sheet. If I didn't have other projects going, I would love to give this one a shot and build a funny car.
  12. Outstanding work Joe! I almost forgot about this big brute.... now is that steering wheel scratch built or a kit part? I am in just awe of your scratch building skills, that cab looks like a manufactured part. Keep up the great work.
  13. Ted by chance do you have the original photos of the Liberty shifter that can be blown up? I would like to see the blown apart picture up close. Might have to see how feasible a mechanical one would be to build by hand.
  14. I would be interested. Bonekrosha, You may want to be a bit more specific as to what you consider through the roof for price... Because what you consider may be lower than what I would consider high/expensive. Since these parts are 3D printed they are going to be a bit more expensive. How about that Liberty shifter that is what I would like to get a hold of!
  15. Clay it is just amazing that you keep raising the bar with each update. Just when I think you have out did yourself, and you show the next update and just blow me away. Definitely shows you are in a class of very few called "Master Builders".
  16. That vette looks very close to what "Holmes" started building. I think that is his what he goes by on this forum. Maybe hit him up and see if he plans to cast the body any time soon.
  17. Sorry for the confusion I was referring to the mounts on that fabricated 9"rear end. I agree with you though the dirtmodeller stuff should be sturdy enough.
  18. Dave, the hubs look spot on and wouldn't expect anything less from an experienced master craftsman! I don't machine yet but would be interested in hearing your processes used.
  19. Wayne, has that chassis looks nice. I really like how you have the floor pan under the drivers side. The rear end housing is coming along nicely, and I have to say the mounts scare me because the look extremely brittle! By the way I received the package in the mail! Thanks for the items.
  20. Man Joe that truck looks outstanding! I do have to ask, where do you find room to store it, because by looking at the size and with the boom extended it looks huge (I assume that is a 6ft folding table it is sitting on)!
  21. Bill saw your car.... You man that is an outstanding work of art... I knew your pictures would not do it justice! I think I was sitting up and started looking around when you had left.
  22. Rom not sure if you are building the 1:1 Nobi car or a "What If" want type car if it was more boxy like the 69 camaro. If you are shootin for the 2012 Nobi car, you will need to remove the bottom wedge you added. these cars don't run a wedge, and they are very squatty. That rear quarter needs to be really narrowed. Do you plan on putting the hood curvature back? Not sure if you made the changes Wayne, was speaking of, but my suggestion is to section the car. Remove the wedge from the bottom because these cars don't run a rake. Section the car from from to back and the bottom of the front chin and add back. the top portion of your grille, it's to short..
  23. Here you go Joe.... serving up one 57 Chevy Drivers side door panel! Of course this one is far from finished, so not sure if this door will do much for you.
  24. Can't wait to see this build up close and personal this weekend! I am sure these pictures don't do it justice.
