  1. I found the prices and ordering instructions. How long does it usually take for parts to get to me?
  2. How do I order from Ma's Resin and how do I get the prices?
  3. What about the AMT Pro Street Nova?
  4. Are there any other kits with those tires or anyone who casts them?
  5. Where can I find drag tires like on this car: http://www.modelcars...showtopic=60150 I tried Ebay but couldn't find anything similar.
  6. Sweet! I've always wanted to do something like this.
  7. I've got an Edsel I could make into a gasser. Of course, I still need to finish my Zombie build, so it may be a while before I can get started.
  8. There are few trucker comments because this thread was originally in the "Under Glass" area. Do you realize the amount of work put into this model, only to comment that he should have completely scratch-built the truck itself. Here's the WIP thread so you can see just how much work was done:http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=55409 And for the record, I'm sure nobody would complain if you took a Chevy and turned it into a Ford that is similar. Actually, I'm pretty sure things like that have been done before.
  9. I'm pretty sure this was his first semi, and I would like to see you do better. Looks pretty good to me, only minor imperfections that anybody could miss. Overall, I would say this is the best model I have ever seen, nobody can make a perfect model.
  10. This is the kit he used, the Revell Datsun King Cab 4x4. Good luck getting one, they're rare and expensive. However there are cheaper, non-lifted versions of this truck.
  11. Maybe that would work, I guess this could happen after all.
  12. I looked around and found something I could use. Basically I could have a spring inside the air bags like the Mack, then you use floss wound on a motor shaft to collapse the bags. Would that work? Here's the sight I found. I searched "t and o" but didn't find anything so i searched "model car hydraulics" and found this: http://www.jevries.c...necontroled.htm . Seems to be the best solution. I could use a small RC car for this so no wires show.
  13. I should have known it was Revell, the wheels and rims are exactly the same as the Jeep Honcho. This kit must be rare cause the only one on Ebay is freaking $80!
  14. They are wheels off some random lego cars I found laying around, I've got like 3 sets now. Unfortunately, they're only like 26" tall (those are 16" rims). As for armor, I got plenty of it. Even as a recon car, it still needs to be able to put up a good fight. And don't worry about all the weight, it will have plenty of power to carry all the armor and weapons. Thanks Doc, I should get more done this weekend.
  15. Offroad tires are from some random lego car I found laying around. I got like 3 sets of them. Unfortunately, they're only like 26" or so in this scale (those are 16" rims).
  16. Actually, you could use a normal tank, just have to use a regulator set to a very low pressure. If you think about the real cars, they only use a small amount of their stored air, not all of it. But, where would you find air hoses at such a small scale. In this instance, I'm talking about 1/25, not 1/8 or something big. I still want to know what this "T" and "O" thing is that Shane mentioned.
  17. You're right, the tubing would probably be the hardest to find. What's this "T' and "O" you talk about?
  18. That looks great, and the paint is perfect. Which kit did you use?
  19. No, what he did is put springs inside the "airbags" to make them act like suspension, which I have seen done before. What I was thinking about was using very low pressure air to actually make the airbags inflate to raise and lower the vehicle, like in the 1:1 cars.
  20. I thought it would be fun to make a model with working air bag suspension. Has this ever been done before? If not, would it be possible?
  21. Actually the bombs, armor and aircraft guns are from a 1/48 B-24 Liberator, rockets and torpedos from 1/72 Bronco, and then some guns from a few tank builds. I went to Hobby Lobby and picked up the 1/35 Tamiya US Infantry Weapons for the .50 cal machine guns. Worth the 3 bucks with a coupon. This is gonna be the fastest armory around.
  22. Not sure yet, but I'll figure something out.
  23. Yeah, it is for Doc's dio, I just hope I can get done in time to send it to him.
  24. I'm building this for the Post Apocalypse/ Zombie Hunter Build. It will be a fairly simple build, just a run of the mill Corvette converted to a pickup, lifted a little, and armed to the teeth. It will be comprised of the leftover Corvette body and Nomad drivetrain from my previous Nomad build. Mockup picture, lifted for going offroad and running over zombies: A few of the weapons and armor to be used: And the pickup bed inspiration:
