  1. I usually use both paint and BMF for achieving chrome effects on a single model... For bigger pieces such as wheels, bumpers and grilles I use Alclad, while I resort to BMF for parts like window trim etc...
  2. There was a Fiero in that movie? Really? LOL
  3. I like the touch with the Dark Side of the Moon CD on the dash
  4. Maybe the kit includes baguettes and croissants in scale... Who knows?
  5. That looks like a nice kit... Thanks for such a comprehensive review It's a shame the doors are not hinged, but at least they are separate pieces. Totally agree on the Reliant Robin... I would definitely like to build the yellow one from Only Fools and Horses And the movie with the 2CV fourgonnette is one of the original Pink Panthers with Peter Sellers as inspector Clouseau
  6. I sincerely doubt Axel Foley's Nova was an SS car
  7. Nice start on that Audi And I do believe you may feel free to start a new thread... "on the workbench" section
  8. Interesting Looks good so far, except the headlight lenses are a bit askew... And, if you're going to be ordering those 16'' BBS RS wheels from Scale Production, you might also want to consider this: http://www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p177_v-w-golf-2-gl-bumpers--revell-.html
  9. Hey Rodney, that Continental is sweet
  10. Thanks, it's a lot of fun to ride + I enjoy doing subtle mods on it every once in a while
  11. I really like the rear end on this one... Looks mean
  12. Most two-part epoxy compounds will do the job quite well... I prefer Tamiya products.
  13. Oscar, yes... Lights indeed, and a horn - supposedly! I'm dead curious to hear it I like some of your take also, BTW
  14. I do have a number of different hobbies, but now that the weather is finally nice again, this one pretty much tops the list...
  15. I've been on the lookout for one of these sets for years, and finally found it...
  16. My biggest disappointment with this kit is that it doesn't include proper Trans-Am decals. Otherwise, it seems to be a nice kit with decent looking wheels
  17. Welcome! That Chevy looks great
  18. Welcome to the forum, Marko!
  19. I will keep an eye out, thanks
  20. Murphy's Law! I do check Marktplaats occasionally, but no cigar... Not for the money I'm ready to pay, anyway
  21. I find ScaleProduction of Germany to be a decent source for wheels... Not sure about 15'', however, but they do have a nice set of 16'' BBS RS wheels that would look great on a MK2 Golf, in my opinion: http://www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p1825_16--bbs-rs.html
  22. Well, I did live in the Netherlands for 8 years and never saw a single one... I rarely see them on ebay, and then they are around 40 euros+... I imagine they are even harder to come by across the pond. You must have some kind of special luck sourcing these
  23. Like most guys already said, by far the best Ghia in 1/24 scale is the Tamiya kit... I do believe it was recently re-issued so you should have no trouble getting it. It's nicely detailed and falls together perfectly If you're into 1/16, however, Revell also did a great kit way back when, but that's quite a rare one... And, consequently, somewhat costly
  24. Somehow I almost missed this one... I really dig the paint scheme
