  1. Nice Deuce Looks great on those Pegasus T's... Are they 19'' or 23''? I'd consider putting smaller diameter in front, and larger in back
  2. That looks like a sweet ride! I like the beige sleeper paint and that power-plant under the hood
  3. Thanks for the reply, Eugene
  4. That is something else! My hat off to you! And you think 4 months is long for such an extensive custom build? I'm lucky if I put a box stock kit together once every year! Any underside pics, perhaps?
  5. That is nice! I love the wheels on this one Which kit are the taillights from? I want to build the American Graffiti Impala in the future, and I think that one had similar taillights to yours...
  6. I like the yellow one Is that Baldwin-Motion livery?
  7. That is an impressive rebuild... Well saved, looks much better now
  8. I do know Maisto used to make diecast Harleys in 1/25 scale, but these are hard to come by nowadays... I was looking to get some to go with my Harley Davidson Ford panel-van, but haven't had any luck yet. Also, as far as I know, Revell used to make some Harleys in that scale way back when, but I've never come across any Not sure about an Indian, but since Burt Munro's bike was heavily modified anyway, perhaps you could build it out of some of the aforementioned bikes... Should you be able to locate any, that is...
  9. It seems there are currently some technical issues with the forum Apart from some decal problems, the Shelby looks real neat
  10. Thanks for the response, Rich... Yes, it's the fitment of the grille I am most concerned about... Badges can be adapted to fit easily enough, but if the grille is a drastically different size, that might be an issue... Does anyone else have experience with the Impala specifically?
  11. I'm giving this a bump before it gets lost on page 2... Has no one ever used the MCG set on a Revell Impala?
  12. This thread redefines model building in my book! You have unbelievable skills, and even though the car you're building doesn't do much for me, I find this to be one of the most interesting WIP's I have ever come across in cyberspace.
  13. Thanks for the response Casey. I still disagree, and such a rule makes this thread quite useless for me, but I will obey it if it serves the community... Therefore, I have merged all of my posts in this topic into one - on page 4. Sorry for the trouble. MATIJA
  14. OK... If I may... I think it makes no sense updating original posts on page 2, for instance, instead of writing a new post every time, because, really, how often does anyone read old posts in topics such as this one? It would make sense if there was some kind of notification that posts have been edited, but there isn't... So, what am I supposed to do? Check all of the old posts frequently just in case someone might have posted something in them?
  15. Thanks, Jim! Input much appreciated Anyone else? Would it be strange to see these on such a car? It does seem nice so far... I'm finding the rear suspension a bit fiddly to put together, but it is nice there are two ride height options straight from the box Thanks for all other comments, also
  16. That's an interesting story indeed But it certainly would be a challenge converting the AMT coupe into the sedan pictured in the article...
  17. Progress on the Plymouth is slow... I've been working on blending the front clip with the body... Although my original plan was to build a mild custom with a straight six engine and whitewall wheels, I changed my mind and decided to build a V8 powered street rod instead... With wheels and tires from a Revell 3-window deuce: And a dilemma... I found some resin-cast old-school bucket seats, and thought about replacing the bench seat with them... What do you guys think?
  18. I'm sure a V8 car would have easily outrun any kind of truck, supercharged or not... Regardless, very nice tribute car and great movie...A true classic
  19. I have the Revell Impala and I wanted to get the Model Car Garage PE set for it, but then I noticed it is recommended for the AMT kit... Has anyone used the set with a Revell Impala? Will it fit, especially the grille? Thanks, MATIJA
  20. It's the Revell kits in question... Specifically, does the decal for the '63 dashboard instrument cluster fit on the '64 car? Thanks MATIJA
  21. Great effect! Thanks for the video tutorial also
  22. Spacious! I like the display cabinet, too
  23. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C4%86evapi
  24. I usually use both paint and BMF for achieving chrome effects on a single model... For bigger pieces such as wheels, bumpers and grilles I use Alclad, while I resort to BMF for parts like window trim etc...
