These Fujimi BMW kits are horrible, unfortunately, but what you did with them lights is something else! Are those Dutch plates on the 1:1 car, BTW?
-
Great color! Which kit is this? I might do something similar to a 76 Caprice I have, but it's not a lowrider kit so I might have to improvise

Expulsion's Project Log: Nissan 240Z and more!
PowerPlant replied to Expulsion's topic in WIP: Model Cars
That Skyline looks sweet, and it's a great kit to put together... I built a similar one a few years back... White on black Watanabe wheels A couple of things, though... Rear lights could use some clear red paint on them, and the glass will need to go on from the inside, so I hope you didn't fix the body to the chassis already... -
Looks good so far! But, did I understand correctly? You want to build this while traveling in a car full of people and stuff? You'll be sanding, gluing and painting... In a moving vehicle? I can't even imagine doing something like that

It's awesome you've heard them! I know they've had moderate success in the US opening for R.E.M. among other gigs... You should check out The Strange also... A bit moodier, but also great I totally dig The Break, too... Never heard of them before
-
Mike, I love the reverb sound! Your music is awesome... Believe it or not, there's a pretty decent Croatian surf-rock band named the Bambi Molesters... Check them out, you might dig them They even did a spin-off band, named The Strange, together with Chris Eckman of the Walkabouts Here's a couple of hits: And here's one from The Strange... Basically, the Bambi Molesters, with Eckman doing vocals...

Indeed, it is a famous Bosnian specialty... Turkish, to be absolutely exact, which became popular back in the times of Ottoman rule in this part of the world, but it has changed somewhat in the Balkans region over the centuries - the most popular being the Bosnian variety Same with borek (called "burek" in the Balkans)... There's the meat variety, and also cheese if that's what floats your boat, but either way - it must be well greasy, as I'm sure you'll remember! Ćevapi (the Wikipedia link above) are grilled separately, then served in pita-like bread called "lepinja", while burek is more like pastry baked in an oven, with the meat or cheese in it

Looks great! Which color is that?

Thank you all for the great comments! The seats are resin pieces from the Parts Box of Australia http://www.thepartsbox.com/

That does help, indeed! The more I look at your model, the more attracted I am to this kit... The stance and that air filter you have under the hood are just perfect
-
Thanks Tom! That front end is the worst aspect of this kit, in my opinion. I think the shape in general is a bit off as it is...

One more pic... In primer... Still needs work...
-
Really nice... I like the red interior on silver exterior Who makes this kit?

Speed Shop Van

That is perfect! I like the clean wheels under rusty body... -
Nice to see one of these built! I've always wondered about these Parts Box resin bodies... Yours looks great

Thanks Tom! For a while, I also thought about going full custom and getting rid of those seams all-together, but then decided to do a more traditional styled street rod so they had to remain... The only dilemma I had was whether to scribe panel lines or make seams... I've seen both on pictures of real cars... In the end, I think I opted for most complicated, but it proved fairy simple in the end... I just heated up some scrap sprues and stretched them very thin, then super-glued them so as to align with already existing seams on top of the fenders I think it looks decent.

I always liked the Bullitt Mustang... It's definitely one of my favorite movie cars, and I plan doing one myself Your model really does it justice, but it would be even nicer if those door handles and rear light housings were chromed
-
That's a great color!
-
A nice variety of Stangs you have there
-
I don't mean to bore you guys, but there's a lot of work to be done on that front end, in order to make it look right... I re-did the vertical seams... This is what it looks like now, still quite a bit to get done:

Help identifying engine
PowerPlant replied to PowerPlant's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks for the quick responses guys! Roger, is that the 1/25 AMT kit? -
I hope this is the right section to post this in... I acquired a box of random parts, including what looks like a nice Ford engine... I suspect it comes from this kit, but may be wrong: I don't know much about modern pickups... Can anyone identify the engine and kit it comes from? Much appreciated MATIJA
