Dominik replied to Dr. Cranky's topic in Model Cars
Both Mercs looking....difficult! Like them, because they are not "highgloss-showroom-condition" as always...! Cool builts Doc, waiting for more Mercurys out of your factory -
Thanks for kind words! Alan, the colour is called "Pearl Light Red" in a spraycan from Tamiya. Code is TS-59.

Dominik replied to Ramfins59's topic in WIP: Dioramas
Yes, i agree with Michael! I visited the first time, when they had the "grand opening" and a couple of years later. it is just I N C R E D I B L E ! Also the team behind it. They make a fabulous job. There is tooooo much to see...in all scenes more details...awesome... Always a trip worth if you have the chance! -
Hi Blair, awesome! Love it - you hit a very realistic look! What kind of wood did you use for the barn? Is it possible, that i saw this diorama on a show? I think some pictures i've seen before...but dont know, where...

Thank you very much for kind words! I appreciate it and will give your compliments to my girlfriend - she is involved in most of my builts, if i am not sure about the color for example. And that is her car, built for her and the first ever, that is in our livingroom presented. She has a good eye Niko (W-409), the 300 logo on the chrome trim on the side i painted after the shooting, some pictures will come up. That time i made the photos, i had no "slow hand" and was afraid to paint it. was afraid, to mess up there at the end... Harry, what kind of roof do you mean? Dodge Magnum? I didn't know that there is a kit existing! Cool....hm...i think, its the same work to change it. But also i think, that the styling of the magnum is not as "soft" like the 300. It looks straighter than this one. Thanks again!

Good morning Buddies, today i present you my 1957 Chrysler 300 C Sportswagon based on the amt-kit (#38545), i only used the roof from a Jimmy Flintstone body while the quality and thickness was more bad than good. JF has some better stuff like this one i got! I scratchbuilt the interieur and the trunklid section. Lowering the suspension, some wiring in the enginebay, selfmade windows/BMF and Alclad for chromeparts as always completed this beauty in my view. On the licensplate the name of my beloved girlfriend who is the "designer" and gave me the concept for colors. i "only" was the builder to make her vision true ;-) Some pictures ...more coming up...

o.k. John...now i am frustrated (as always when i watch your builts), if i see your AWESOME detailwork. ...you're kidding, aren't you?!? What diameter are the plugwires?!? Crazy, absolutly crazy..."you're a lunatic bird"...and those guys we need in our hobby! ...why here you get no drooling smiley...

Hi Derick, i hope so too! I opened the box yesturday the first time. I got it from my brother, he wants to sell it. While i built the Hasegawa-kit long time ago, i hoped, this amt is better in details. o.k...it has an engine...but if i look along my bench and see the amt-"Christine" or 57 Chrysler 300 C (those kits i love because the Detail!)...hm. Should i tune up the enginebay? I don't know, how far i will go with it...

i am just amazed...
-
Outstanding work Danny! The second part of pictures are brilliant! BTW...your stuff in your shop is amazing too
-
O.k., i've done my choice after a look into the boxes. Please count me in with a '66 Buick Wildcat: ...so lets get started to work on it. I will do my best @Lonathan: to build a frame is just amazing! @all: interesting work! I am impressed.

Holla! A mistake... ...sure i looked to the pictures, because there are no words about the model itself and the builder in the first post .... ...so i thought, the "driver" or manufactor is called "Terry Adams", also because the name on the valvecovers....Sorry for ignorance!
