  1. Very, very cool Mike!!
  2. So the final few details have taken me a little longer than what I had planned....life is like that. But I`m on a roll now baby! It`s coming together and should be done in a day or so.
  3. Awesome!! An absolute killer!!!
  4. Thanks Mike, thats a nice compliment. Your Torino turned out as one bad machine, I really dig it. I plan to be in next years build and look forward to showing you my tailights.
  5. Congrats to all! There isnt a lame horse in the bunch, everthing I saw on this thread has been top notch. It seems as though every modelbuilder out there has really upped the bar. I wasnt able to compete in this years build, but such is life. Things are looking up and I`m getting back to the bench lately and it feels good, so the plan is to see what kind of clunker I can build for next years sleeperfest. See you at the starting line in 2015.
  6. Van Halen with Hagar was a sad era, for me at least, and I never bought one Van Hagar album but l will give them credit for a few decent songs they managed to spew out. The 3 minutes that Gary Cherone was in the band for still gives me the heebie jeebies.
  7. Said the Merican drinking Canadian beer.
  8. That Alfa Carabo is downright sexy, the Rainbow..... not soo much. When you look at the Alfa you sure can tell what Jerry Weigart ripped off when he designed his Vector.
  9. I always look forward to your builds Ira. You`ve got one heck of an imagination and the skills to back it up.
  10. Anybody that is willing to pay that amount for such a low grade job done by those clowns deserves to be fleeced.
  11. Very slick....nice stuff!!
  12. It was stated as a question. Not trying to start anything, all I did was answer his question. No harm, no foul.
  13. I dig it!!! Nice work.
  14. It didn`t. Just a couple people expressing their opinions Google "Neil Young oil sands" and you`ll get more than enough of him
  15. Amen! Best thing I`ve read all day.
  16. You throw a set of mags and a dark paint job on these cars and they have a killer no nonsense look about them. Nice work, it looks awesome.
  17. My first car was a butter yellow 67 Coronet 440 with a 318, power steering, power brakes, and steelies with hubcap. Bought it for $1000 in 1984, drove the hell out it for a year and sold it for $1500. Car number two was a 70 340 Duster with a 4 speed. It ran like a scalded cat in a straight line and was absolutely useless in the corners. I couldnt afford insurance so I would take the plates off of my moms car when she wasnt looking and head downtown to fry the tires off it. Bought that one for $600 and sold it 2 months later for $1800 with half the tire tread depth of when i bought it. Man could that car light up a set!! I dont miss the Duster at all but there are still days I wish I never got rid of the Coronet. I really liked that car. It was the first car I hit 100 Mph in.

    67 Comet

I really like it! Its just got cool written all over it.
  19. Very cool Richard. Not only a very slick build but a heck of a nice gift.
  20. How could you not love a Comet. They`re like a Pug...they really do have a face only a mother could love but anyone who appreciates an old car wants to be its Momma. Thats a bad, bad build Jim, I like it a lot .
  21. I always wanted this poster but my Mom wouldn`t let me.
  22. A Top Fuel Engine actually has quite a high RPM, usually around 9500 or so, but the race is so short that it only turns over 500 or so times from start to finish. The only electric vehicle I`ve ever experienced is my nephews Traxxas Slash R/C truck and its crazy with a capital stooopid. It used to go 40 mph in stock form (only) but after a couple months he decided he needed more go so he installed a hotter motor, now the dam thing hits 60 mph and it does it in the blink of an eye! Pretty impressive.
  23. Someone else.
  24. I like the display....the cars not bad either . Nice job Ray!
