Another of my !/12 Tamiya kits. This time, a Williams F1 that had active suspention before they outlawed it. Again, straight out of box. I did a bit more detail painting, as per the instructions. Tamiya even had a real fine line molded in o the body so you knew exactly where to mask for painting. I have two more to build. The Tyrrell 6 wheel and a McClaren with V-10 Honda Hope you excuse my spelling...no spell check that I can find

I am like a kid with a new toy since I figured out how to post pics. This is a Tamiya 1/12 Ferrari. 100% out of box. I did not even paint the red. I have found no comparison in quality. Must be why they so costly. Worth every penny!

How long ago did I build this? I bought it new, in box at hobby store for $70.

It is the 1/8 Lindberg Exterminator Dragster 2 in 1 kit. This kit came with an electric motor which I did not use. It can be built as a 2 engine version also. I plan on using the other engine in a 1/8 '85 Corvette. I want to try some body modifications and a bit more detailing. Pro mod / Pro street type model. Thanks for the comments.

I am new here. This has become my most favorite website. I love the older drag cars. This was first attempt at any kind of design. My detailing certainly does not compare to most of you guys but I do enjoy. Am working on a Tommy Ivo 1/16 FED as we speak. Thanks for the great pics and builds. They are informative and great motivators.

Thanks I have been reading several of the post, mostly drags, big boys and tips. Simply mind blowing the detail some of you guys can do. It is a wonderful site. I will post pics if I can get my hands on a good digital cam.

I am working on a 1/16 Tommy Ivo FED...just like the 1/24 kit just released. I am new here and have been searching all the forums to see builds from others. I can't find any. What am I missing?

I would guess that the small gold stripes came from either a 1/64th gold pinstripe tape or he painted the body gold, use some 1/64th masking tape and then painted the red. I just got some 1/64 and 1/32 masking tape and gold tapes to try on my Ivo 1/16 FED. Hope it comes out as good this.
