The AMT 68 Shelby GT????? I've NEVER heard or SEEN a CLEAR bodied one!!!! And THAT kits been around for a LOOOOONG time! You MIGHT have you somethin rare there Daddy-O! But as far as paintin it goes, it should paint just like a regular kit. If you do paint it from the inside, make SURE there are NO flaws in the exterior when you put on your color coat or they'll REALLY show up. Just thonk of those clear hoods that you used to have to paint! Still, like i said, I've NEVER heard of that kit in clear plastic, much less SEEN one!!!

How would you guys make this part?
george 53 replied to Monty's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Monty, that's the heat riser tube comin off the Choke stove on the exhast manifold. the only thing I can think of is to open up an OLD slot motor, or any small motor, and pull the armature wire outta it. Wrap that wire around your plastic peice, and then wrap it in BMF. It'd give ya that Flex look that yer lookin for. Sorry but that's the best I can come up with. I HOPE it helps. -
Cliff, WAAAAY back inna day, there was a 70 Super B just like your Bronze one that ran around here. The guy who owned it had the FRONT AND REAR bumpers plated in 24K GOLD! Yeah I know it sounds tacky, but really it looked pretty good! It WAS unusual to see GOLD bumpers onna car but it sure DIDN'T look bad! he was my wife's girlfreinds husband, so I knew him pretty well. I asked why, he said Why not??? His wife was NOT amused at the cost!!!

Clay, my brother, YOU gotta watch for the OTHER guy, caz THEY sure a heck AIN'T gonna watch out for you! That's why Theresa Don't like bikes. Some lady ran a stop sign and hit me an my buddy on his bike! I got pretty banged up, but didn't break anything. Tha old lady said she never even saw us, which was kinda a dumb reason for runnun a STOP sign!
-
Ok,I'll bite, three guesses on WHAT? You chopped a section out of it. What are we guessing ON????
-
Looks real nice,Clay.I LIKE the color. Will Ani ride on it with you? Theresa's ALWAYS been afraid of bikes, she wouldn't even let my look at them! I was lookin at a Harley 883 once caz it's not TOO heavy, but she shot THAT idea down right quick. "I DON'T want to be a widow" she'd say. Oh Well. Hope you enjoy yer new putt!!!

george 53 replied to Blake Rogers's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
