Dave, this place is like home to me, these guys here are like my brothers, If you offend one of them you offend me. You'd be surprised at how thick my skin is and what I've been thru, and when I'm loyal to someone or thing, I'm loyal to a fault. Gregg an Harry go thru alot to give us this place, and it does ruffle my feathers when it's not appericiated. Sorry to have gotten so bent outta shape, but Gregg and Harry are my freinds, and I'd NEVER refer to them as nazi's jokeingly or not. I appologize, and yes, it would be REAL nice if the newbs would READ the rules BEFORE they join and FOLLOW them. -

Dave, web "NAZI's" got NOTHING to do with it. It's THE RULES. I'm surprised you would refer to us that take the time to follow them as NAZI'S! That's realy NO way to refer to your forum freinds. I wouldn't refer to YOU that way, and I dON'T think many of us would. It's not appericiated. -

Drew, this might sound kinda dumb, but if you take a lid from a testors small can of spray paint, cut it in half, you'll get 2 nice rounded wheel houses. Then just trim them to the width you need. May not be FACTORY correct but at least you can size them to the size tire your runnin. -
Resin? RESIN??? Jurg, my man, your just goin CRAZY!!!! This is gonna be GOOD Brother! i CAN'T wait ta see how you do THIS bad boy up!!!! I'm gonna send ya a PM on Flintstone, He's gotta LOT of COOL stuff!!!

Have a '58 Plymouth Question
george 53 replied to Nick Winter's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Nick, those cars (57,58,59,60 )are cab on chassis. that means they were two seperate units. You can paint a little over spray on the VERY EDGES of the underside, but not like the 60 an up cars. You paint the frames on those cars a nice semi gloss bkack an your good ta go! Maybe one of the other guys can get more into detail on it, but basicly that it. -
NOW ya go an cast one AFTER I paid a HUNNERT BUCKS for one! YEEESH! I just CAN'T win!!!! Let me know when it's ready, I might want another one! Frazza grazza flarple mufflp!!!!

Jesse, I couldn't agree with you more! This forum has introduced me to MORE great people than I've EVER met in the hobby! It even got me into a CLUB! The guys here are GREAT! EVERYone has a GREAT attitude, and I'd NEVER have met guys like Gregg, Bill Geary,Mr.BIGGS,Santiago(Mr.1/16th) an the rest of the bunch without it. I'm here everyday, just to see what'll come up next! I try to be as helpful as I can, just to show my appericiation for it. I mean, WHERE ELSE could I have mey guys like these? YOU included? I'm just a lowly ol basement builder, but beein able to share ideas, and ask questions of some of THE BEST scratch builders in the WORLD (YOU Treehugger), guys who run their OWN buisnesses,(Andy,Jeffb)Give me advice, This place really does ROCK! I LOVE this place, it's the BEST thing that's happened to me in MY veiw, for MY hobby that I've ever experienced! Like I said, I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

I really do look forward to seeing what comes off your bench next, they ALL come out so well. You sure got the knack Daddy-O. ya'd think you lived in HERE, the way you build, not in Austria! Oh Yes, I DO remember them well! It was a direct drive unit geared directly to the rear pinion. There was a lil Volksie bug outta Long Island New York runnin one. It was in an OOLLLDDD magazine aptly named CARS. There were a few cars on the west coast runnin that setup too. They didn't last long though, if I remember correctly the Drag Raceing Asso.'s (AHRA,NHRA IHRA) didn't really have a class for them. Nice castings, aren't they,Bill? ALL of Alans stuff is that nice and sharp!
