Oh heck yeah Zed,The flames make the car! You did a great job on it! And you really got them symetrical from side to side,Which is kinda hard to do!Flame ALWAYS make a ride look good! Even in France!!
Yeah,I cheated an bought a couple of them when KB toys closed in our local mall.I bought the pre painted ones an they came out pretty much like yours Bill. And I agree it is a pretty nicely detailed kit.(even nicer when it's already painted!)
Guy's He said he builds kit for CLIENTS,which means he's probably pretty good. You'd hafta be for this kit! It's an old Entex kit(at least mine is).The only good part is the body. The interior is a badly detailed bucket type,The engine has NO detail to speak of,And the chassis is pretty toy like. All in all youd better be ready to work to make this into a presentable model.I've seen them at swap meets for as little as 5 bucks.Good Luck if you buy one,caz you been warned!
Bill,They actually look real.I remember they used to come seperately from the tires, and you had to pinch them between the rim an the tire. They'd lay flat up against the tire after a little while. That's what those model ww's remind me of.Yeah, I'm that frickin old! But I'm sure you remember em too!
Welcome Rat,I gotta agree with the Grampster,It IS the best forum on the Net,you'll like it here.Don't be afraid to post questions, your among some of the best modelers in the WORLD!. Oh, by the way, Great color on the truck!
######'n,I have! I thought it was left inna sun too long an jus faded. But you PURPOSELY painted it that color?###### Bill, thats the same color my Granbaby likes on her toenails! Sooo,it cant be all that bad if'n a 3 yr. old likes it.I do too,an where'd you get the whitewalls? They look like the tires that came in the Monogram kits, but I ain't ever seen im in w/w's But I'm likin it!
Baz, the plug wires go UNDER the exhast manifolds Bro,Yours look like they're on the intake manifold. There should be small indentations on the heads between the exhast ports where the sparkplugs would be.The wires would go there. See if you can find a picture of a small block Chevy an you'll see what I mean.
BIGGS,just checked the site an the stuff looks good. Are the Caddy's complete or do you use a donor like the Impala SS? Is the Malibu a complete kit too? I sure like em all!
######, Bill, that theres a right generous offer!,You know I've got a coupla Fujimi garage sets that would work Great in a alley garage. you know the kind I mean?3car garage made of wood like we used ta work on our cars in when we were teens?.Here in Deeetroit All the garages were built out wood.(No one could afford a cinder block one.)
Yeah Chris, you did good.Take the Camaro apart, holdthe bare body under some hot running water, and try to twist the body a little bit past the warp and then put it in or under some cold water while holdingit straight do it a couple of times an the warp SHOULD come out.Hope this helps.
2questions, 1 Whats wrong with the seatcovers? looks like leopard,or zebra, are you afraid of PETA? 2,How did you get that insrument panel so down? is it a decal or was it painted freehand? Either way, It just makes a fabulous model all the better!Still a 2 thumbsup an a snap!!!
Holy sh8t Bill,Your usin CHICKEN FEATHERS to paint??? Now I've heard EVERYTHING!!!. Just goes to show how talent comes in so many different forms! I'm glad you can goof around with me an the ######'n, That's one of the reasons I love it here, every one is so cool an easy to get along with, especially you! I'm glad Ive come to know you Bill,Your a VERY talented modeler!
Zeb, That stoopid F#@& CAN'T!! run again, thank God! He's already messed up things so bad it'll take the new guy twice as long to bring things back to a semi-livable situation!
