WoW! Yeah, that sure came out right!Great BMF job.Really like those exhast ports on the end of the skirts.Did you make them or are they aftermarket? really period correct! The whole car came out nice, great build!
-
Well,DJ, it sure looks pretty good for a bomb.Ive always liked them older rails(I'm probably dating myself callen them that,But thats ok cause I like goin out with myself.I'm told I'm alot of fun.) It sure came out nice.Did you make the decals or did they come with a kit? Either way, it's a great rescue!

Bill, it looks great, but yeah, Project X was the car in "Hollywood Knights".It was all butchered up by Chevy's special projects crew last year.I tended to like it more when it was the type of car that anyone coulda replicated at home. Not anymore! It was a 210 post coupe an yours is the top of the line Bel-Aire.Not to say it aint the mookie dook, cause it sure looks good! It's just that big ol post missing from the doors is noticeable.(at least to me it is).Great build!

Well, now that we've got balljoints/tierod ends where can we get u-joints? that would really be cool. Or can someone show us how to build em?(like Ollie just did?)
-
Ollie, those would be tie-rod ends,But thats all right cause they look cool anyways. But I couldn't help lookin at the price of them lil rascals. Please tell me thats some other country's price,an NOT the good ol' U.S.ofA's price. Those would be equal to 1:1 tie rod ends if they are! Great idea though.

Raul's right,Gregg, Sometimes we do forget that it's not really FREE, your the one who does ALL the dirty work, and WE are the ones who benefit. So Yes, THANK YOU so very much for all your hard work and persistance! I know it's not easy doin this ,an runnin the mag,an doin whatever you do to keep food on the table, But believe me, and I like to think I speak for all of us,It's VERY DEEPLY appericiated, Thanks Again!!!!!!!! -
WOW Greg, I just love to see that kinda work! Isn't it almost like buildin a real car?Your really goin great on this build! I can't wait to see it finished,I know it'll be worth all the effort!!

george 53 replied to Len Geisler's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Can you paint over it? how long does it stay pliable with paint on it? does the amount of paint on it keep it from sticking to the model? ou.ou.ou.I love new ideas! -
YOWW J. if thats just a few add ons, what would ita looked like if you was REALLY tryin?Man kiddo it looks great!
-
Looks good so far but heck, with what you got there, how hard would it be to make it a convertable?

Clay, by tamer, he probly means the engine won't run,or the radio won't tune, or the wheels won't mount using 5 little lugs or.......

Big Dog Problem
george 53 replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Now I really feel like an idjut. I went on the thread Joe posted an saw what HE was refering to. Yeah it probably woulda took longer than 5 min. if ol Bruiser was keepin warm in there! And it woulda really been ugly if he didn't wanna move! -

Terry, all he did was disconnect the pigtail from the cruise unit , spliced in a 10/12 in. fusable link wire and re-plug it in.that's all, not even 5 min. worth of work. -
Harry, That bad boy's got a 24 gal. tank(total cap.) and since the price of gas has gone crazy I NEVER even let it get a 1/4 tank low cuz it's a bitch to fill up! Only runs on 91 octain.I usually only let it get dowm 1/8th of a tank before I fill it!

Yeeesshhh,I'd take just the interior! It's lookin good,so I guess the outside HAD to be a mindblower!Fabulous job!

Complete: Rusty's "Last Call" Dodge Charger
george 53 replied to David Thibodeau's topic in Model Cars
Don't wanna sound stoopid, but I was thinkin "Man,this guy's REALLY GOOD!" then I saw who's thread it was an realised who built it,Yeesh no wonder! It's not only good,it's magnifacent!Super job!I'm not into Nascar, but I am into great talent, someday, maybe I'll be 1/10th that good.Nahhh,I don't have that kinda patience. But it is beautiful,no doubt! -
Oh heck yeah,Bob.Great job. Looks like it should be in a showroom.Color, stance, wheels, all come together great! I'd let my son-in-law buy it!(I'm a thru & thru Chevy/Chrysler guy).
-
Phil, great before/after pics! looks like alot of work went into both cars.New blue ones nice,an I like the rust colored "racin stripe" on the beater. Both came out great, good job!
-
K.K. Since you don't know if youd ever own one, I suggest you find someone who does and ask for a ride. You'll change your mind FAST! I've owned 3 of them my first one was killed in a traffic accident,My 2nd one was stolen, and my present one is kept garaged just about 24/7.It'll blow the doors off mustangs and marauders. It's only got bolt on stuff, no engine work, and it's still a handfull.I tend not to drive it so much anymore cause the last one was ripped off. But, it is a big,FAST, comfortable car to have ride in, and I'm sure you'd like it!

Joe, what year is your truck? they recalled my 2001 Ranger 4x4 early this year an all they did was put in a fusible link in the cruise control. Took longer to write it up than to do it. The service Tech did it in less than 5 min. -
I agree Bill, it looks great! Some of the weathering almost looks like art! It reminds me of those pictures where theres a bunch of mustangs or Camaros or Cudas just rustin away out in front.

How's everyones gas prices?
george 53 replied to forthlin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Here in Deeetroit it's between 3.57/3.78 for reg.depends on where you go.Brand names are more expensive,no brands(firebird, valero) are cheaper. My Impala SS(95) HAS to run premium, so needless to say it's not being driven too often. -
Yeah Nick,I agree 100%.Those guy's are runnin the HELL out those cars.Theyre pushin each other in the corners and draftin like a mug on the straights,Makes for some great racin!Maybe I'll jus stay up sometime to catch em!
-
Thanks Nick!,Yeah, I really liked watchin those cars. In my oppinion they WERE REALLY RACEIN! I first turned onto them on speedvision anthought they were cool. But theyre gone now.W#hat happened to them?
-
Guy's I've never really been into open wheeled racing cars but have always appericiated road course racers.Indy has never done anything either,or Nascar, till I saw them running on a roadcourse(the Nascars). What are the little Aussie road racers called?Ireally liked them till they disappeared.don't mean to sound stupid, but you learn more everyday.
