  1. Harry you ol slick rascal,puttin it on a non-descript backround.OK,here goes ,I think it's real this time,cuz it's just too smooth.But I was fooled last time,Soooo......
  2. Harold,beautiful build.I remember a 442 exactly like it.had great times in it.I sometimes wonder whatever happened to it.Like I said,Beatiful build
  3. A custom painted 1956 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham 4 door.
  4. Build up looks great. Were canadian engines different than U.S. engines? cause the ones I remember were more greenish in color.yours looks more blue than the ones that came out of the Mound Road plant.(U.S. spec. engines for the DEEEtroit area were built at the Trenton Engine plant,in Trenton Michigan)But color surely doesnt take away anything from your build,Its still beautilful, and the 69 Charger IS my alltime favorite car,Bar none!!!!
  5. Oh,yeah,the 49Merc (AMT) came with a 440 as the optional engine.
  6. Rand ,the cross ram was only on wedge type engines. No hemis. Those used the short staggered carb type intake. You could fake it with a 383 block since in 25th scale you couldnt tell the difference. But you cant put the CR intake on a hemi cuz they simply never came with one.But ,heck it's your car an you CAN do what ever you want!Call it "artistic license"An frickem if they cant take a joke!
  7. Yes,Welcome Mitchell. Some really great builds.looks like a Ferrari dealership in the 1st coupla pics, your gonna like it here!
  8. Oh yeah, welcome back, good to see you at it again
  9. Clay, is that the same truck that comes with the waverider ski-doo? Or is it a completely different truck?Looks like it''ll be pretty cool.I'll be watchin this build.
  10. Geeze,I coudnt even bring it up .But I'm with Clay,I got 2 balls too! an Bigguns at that!
  11. Rand,No pics, but I'm assuming your talkin about the Chrysler 413/426 wedge Cross Ram.They were an option on the big letter series (300) and some S/S cars. If I can remember,(I'm an ol sh8t) they were available like 60 thru 64.Cant be used on any other engine as they were intended only for the RB series(413,426 wedge,440).I saw a few of these set ups back in the day,an I was told they ran pretty hard. the carbs were Carter or Rochesters, and sat over the opposit cylinder head for a Ram effect an to keep the hood line low. the linkage really looked like a set of squashed monkey bars springs,an linkages,an more springs.Look like a mess to try an sincronize the carbs. But they were dropped by around 64/65,cause proggress caught up with em and made them obsolete... I'm sure alot of the older guys remember em too an can give better descriptions.Hope this helped.
  12. WOW! stuff sure has changed since I been down the 1/4. Just line up, an when the tree goes green so did we! Yeesh looks like alot of stuff to remember. But then again 14 second times are considered quite slow nowadays!
  13. Gregg, I've got 4 stainless steel screws in my left knee that always set off the handheld detector wands at Metro airport,But when I pull up my pantleg they see a 10 in. scar and let me pass.Do you set off the detectors too?
  14. Or a small human powered real car?
  15. WWooooooaaaaahhhhhh, wat happened?did Greg woop some azz?It seems like he musta given it some spinach! she's just zippin right along now.THANKS GREGG!
  16. Ya know guys,Darin may have sumpthin there,I went an took a look at it in a larger frame an I dint see any brake lines,So maybe he's got a better eye than me.But it's too late to change my vote.
  17. Raul,I noticed,But I just figured you needed your space.Glad to have you back.Uhhh, just when DID you leave? But I DID notice.!
  18. Mark, could you please elaborate on this "spaz stix" (other than thats wot my wife sometimes calls me) spray? where can you get it? Murray's, K/Wall mart?Mail order? Michael's hobbies and crafts? I'd sure appreciate it.
  19. Hey Darin, maybe it's just ol tymeie power streering?
  20. Harry, you ol pot stirrin rascal you! We just had an NNL style meet here in Deeetroit where they gave out "peoples choice" awards, it sure looked like a contest to me.Id like to hear an explanation too, seein hows youv'e done gone an started it an all.
  21. Wood parquet floor looks real to me,Sooo I vote real.
  22. I really dont know st8t about this kinda stuff, but could it be a ford cortina of about late 60's early 70's vintage?
  23. YOWW, ollie that thing is Magificent!!!,It truly does look real! yeah the mirrors should have the bowtie on top, but it does look like the mirror stems themselves are a little to long.If you turn the mirror itself upside down the edge of the mirror would only be about an inch from the door. I learned how to drive in a 65 Impala an cuz I was so short thats how I had to adjust the mirror to use it. Some things you just dont forget. Great job!
  24. OK guys If Im the one who started all this B/S cuz of (what I mistakenly thought was consructive)Critisism I do appologize to every one.I Dont remember saying I would smash anyones build I just wanted to emphisise that certain symbols are offensive to some people. As is said before the Hammer and Sickel are symbols of the communist party. Unfortunatly, communism is not dead, but many fine young men are because they served, and gave thier lives to prevent its spread. It IS offensive to some. All I was trying to do was keep politics out of the hobby that has given me so much pleasure over these many years. I served in Viet Nam was taught to hate communism Ive Seen what it does to innocent people ,And YES I do hate it ! I dont hate you evil or your biulds in fact I think theyre pretty good. You asked for opinions so I gave you one.Dint mean to get you so bent outa shape. If you cant take it maybe you shouldnt ask for it? AGAIN to all my friends on this board,I do APPOLOGIZE.Now can we get back to what this forum is really about, which is Model Cars?
  25. I think its model, the edge of the road is too sharp. it looks like a table top.thats how well built it is,I have to look for obvious things.
