Is There An Easy Remedy For Bent A Pillars?
george 53 replied to Junkman's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Take the body and run it under hot water upside down so that it floods thr roof from beneath, using your thumbs, push frpm the rear roof pillars towards the front pillars, trying to push the front of the roof back into its proper positon.it might help if you use the glass from the kit(old Jo Han right?) and use it to help,by running you thumbs along the runners that hold the windshield to the backlite.the a-posts should line up with the edges of the wind shield after a little while, when they do run the whole thig under cold water to set it,usethis same process acoulpe of times till it takes its original shape.make the water hot enough to where its is hot but not hot enough to burn yourself. this does work for me,but it is a trial and error type of thing, just press hard enoigh to straighten the roof pillars out. hope this helps. -

Satelite, take yer pick,68 thru 73 the thing was primered up in black so tough that you cant make out specific details from what I could tell from the rear end shots though, it coulda been a 70 on up.

Dam,Bob the paint is killer, you certainly ARE "Bob the Builder" looks really good! jus wish I could paint that good! -
. Don, looks good! I once had a 69 Super B (without the 6 Pak) 440 auto, it was the same color combo as yours. But mine had these roller knobs on the radio not turn type knobs.I dont know if it was opional , but I also was fortunate enough to own a 69 Charger R/T, And it also had a roller knobs on the radio, so I'm kinda thinkin it was a standard thing. no big deal but if yer goin this far....... any way its lookin great so far, I'm really lokkin forward to the end result.

Guy's I just came off the E-modelcars website and saw a few things I was interested in,but when i saw the shipping charges some of the kits had listed I just thought it was a joke. I dealt with one fella frpm florida who only charged 4.50 to ship and another seller fromHAWAII! who only charged 6.00! how can a kit comin fromm tennessee cost 10.00?!! come on fellas, if yer just tryin to make money charge more for the kit itself, but 1 model kit being mailed across the U.S DOES Not COST 10.00 BUCKS! One of the sellers had a dam good idea when he said to be for real with the priceing AND shipping. He mentioned GREED would surely kill a good thing! I believe hes a wise man cause it looks almost like evil bay as for as shipping is concerned. The kit iI was lookin at was 7.89, great price for this particular kit,but 10.00 bucks to ship it its NOT a 18.00 dollar kit! even with gas to go to my LHS it wouldnt cost me 18.00bucks. If this is gona work we hafta be more for real!I send kits all over the place and not once have I paid 10.00 bucks to send anything, unless its 2 or 3 or 4 at a time! The most I've payed is 40.00 bcks and I mailed 16 kits. sure they were !/48 scale airplanes and they (the P/O) go by weight, but I didnt think I was being taken advantage of. Get withit guys and be more for real or nobodys gonna get anything out of this! Now you can call me a cheapskate or whatever but I'm talking from experience, and I know what it really costs and to me unless your leavin the COUNTRY it just shouldn't cost that much! Thats my 2Cents worth,so sue me! George53.
