Gus go to your locai hobby shop, ti the railroad section and ask for a Grain o' wheat' lightbulb at (debending on if you need 1 or 2 batteries) a 1.5 volt bulb if one,or 3.0 volt for two, don't be too disapointed if their not that bright though, cause if I remember right, they weren't . No More Hobby Heaven?
george 53 replied to george 53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Mr.O,and Cal,Thanks for the reply, I used to buy ALOT of stuff from him, enjoyed the catalogs and ALWAYS found stuff to buy.I'm sure gonna miss him. Is there any one else that does something similar, or was he the only one? I dont really mess with the evil one cause I don't like the"hit or miss" aspect of it. I'd rather just pay the price flat out if I want it bad enough. Thanks again fellas I do appericeate it.George53 -
Guy's I was lookin on Evil bay, found something interesting, and read that Hobby Heaven was gone and in it's place was a new co. called Spotlight hobbies. Does anyone know about it or how to get ahold of it? I'd rather deal directly with them than do the E-bay thing. Thanks George53.

When I can get my daughter to show me, I'll post pics. George53

Can Someone Id What Kit These Headers
george 53 replied to Len Woodruff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Clay, they LOOK like the headers from the "Lil T' by monogram. Just don't bet the farm on it! find one at the LHS and find the one with the trailer,It's a repop of an older kit but I'm pretty sure that's them. -
Amt Gto Mystery Parts?
george 53 replied to Bristol Man's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I think but I'm not positive that theyr'e sopposed to be glued together to make some so-called front runners to be used with the straight axle that came with the kit to built the Gasser version that was the rage at the time. -
######,Marine, you sure ran into some understanding Bastiges round here eh? Good luck tonite!

Clay, I too looked into trying my hand at starting a hobby shop after retirement .I knew I'd need some backing so I contacted Hobby Lobby, They told me I'd need 125,000 just to start, finance and stock a franchise.Oh well it was a good idea while it lasted. I decided I didn't want a full time job AFTER retireing,But if thats what you really would like to do, I guess it couldn't be any harder than putting in 20 yrs in the Corps.

Clay, its just the spirits of ol Marines who were BORED TO DEATH, just like you .Carry on Marine and remember your in good company! SIEMPER FI.
