  1. 58 sounds about right, Junior. My big brudder built that kit for me as a LITTLE kid. I was 5 and that was in 58. It IS a nice model as I remember it. My mom would get mad at me caz I wanted to play with it when I took my baths.
  2. To just fish out the nasty stuff and use whats still soft and pliable sounds like a good way to save whats left. At it's cost, that's what I'd try.
  3. I've never had Eurosoft go lumpy on me, but i HAVE had it go all nasty an MOLDY on me. Had to throw it out and at it's cost, it's NOT a cheap way to go. MAYBE if you keep mashin it when you take it from the can you can squish the lumps out of it before you add the hardener.
  4. Oh, and your build came out BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
  5. The 70 Chevy Impala i believe, comes with a bench seat you could start with. Of course the upholstery pattern is different, but with your skills I'm sure you could get it to work. IF you need the "Strato-Back" bench seat(it had bucket seat style BACKS on a bench seat) Alan Raab has them, from the 70 Olds Toronado( I know caz I sent him the master for it) that could also be used. The Strato Backs were used as an optional seat from 68 t0 about 71. The Pontiac Grand Ville had them as standard seating.
  6. Chuck Most is Chuck, and he may have posted his build up here. Being as he's a personal friend, I was privy to see some of his progress work. Chuck, have you posted anything about it here??? The mans a GENIUS when it comes to building off the wall projects!!! :D
  7. WAY TO GO, Tulio!!!!! THAT'S a GREAT idea, THANK YOU!!!!
  8. If you haven't seen his progress shots, Chuck is turnin one into a PICKUP! AND he's doin a pretty good job of it, if I say so myself!!!
  9. I have one too, but itsa SOLID chunk of about a pound of resin. Unless your a glutton for punishment, I'd build it as it is. It'd take a YEAR to even TRY to turn it into a fully detailed truck. Oh, an you BETTER wear a resperator, FORGET about a simple dust/painting mask!!!!
  10. Yep, I'd do ANYTHING for her simply because she's worth it.
  11. Simple green is VERY effective on Testors spray enamel spray paint. The ONLY thing I've ever seen it NOT effect was ANYONES Flat Black paint. Don't ask me why, but it WON'T take it off! I use 91% alcohol for that. HTH
  12. I enlarged the pic and you could PLAINLY see there were NO door opening/seperation lines. REAL cars of that model have doors that OPEN! Hence I voted model. YESSSSSSSS!
  13. I asked that already an NOBODY's answered it yet. I gotta 1 showin an I don't remember gettin it. Like I asked before, IS it three strikes an yer out?????
  14. Welllll, I don't know what ta tell ya Bill, but hey, Embellish ON!!! VERY nice!
  15. For a second there I t THOUGHT it was Die Cast! Then I remembered Revell Of Germany did that Opel Blitz truck. Then It all made sense! GREAT job on this, Vesa. Like that yellow color!!!!
  16. Again, ANOTHER great Resin caster i can personally vouch for! I got his 41 Chevy chopped coupe, and let me tell ya, it IS a NICE trans kit!!! TOP quality.
  17. Your gonna LIKE that kit, Cranky! It would be GREAT if other American Model company's would mold with the accuracy of THESE kits. I've HEARD that Galaxie Ltd is bringin out a COUPE version too!!! Oh I can only hope!!!!!
  18. Use the 40% off coupon and yu'll save even MORE!!!!
  19. GREAT rebuild!! The pettern on the seats is too cool! Is that a decal or did you hand paint it? If you did, MAN do you got a STEADY hand!!! OUTSTANDING job!!!
  20. WOW, Chris, that came out GREAT!!!! Beautiful job on it Bro!!! Was that PE "Cage" hard to bend into the proper shape? It sure came out NICE!!! As far as postin,Bro, by all means, POST ON!!!!!
  21. I've NEVER seen an late model Impala ss with a manual trans, much less a 6 spd one. What year were those made????? I ordered my 95 brand new an there were no other tranmissions avalable but an automatic.
  22. Uhhhh Adam, Daddy-O, that's a 69 Mach 1, not a 68. But whatever, It's still a NICE lookin ride!!!
  23. Seems like the mojo I lost playin ROM is commin back with is it fake OR real!!!!
  24. Danny is a member of the DMCC, and a freind! His skills at detailing small intricate parts is phenomenal!! I got quite a few things from him and would recommend him HIGHLY, even if he wasn't my freind! Check out his clutch plates, clutches an flywheel sets! OR his brakedrum kits, you won't belive all the detail he puts into these miniscule things! I personally LOVE his stuff. Oh, an he's a GREAT guy ta boot!!!!
