Plus, at the shows, he sells them for as cheap as 10 bucks a pop!!! Saw his IH delivery truck last sunday, it was only 30 bucks there, he said to use the 55/57 Chevy pick up frames to finish it. It was a VERY nice casting!!!

Casey, yes, it's the rarity of it. It was only produced ONCE, and they were not real popular THEN. Then they were GONE and about 20 years ago, A young fellow had one and decided to cast it as a stocker OR Hot Rod. Then he passed away and left the kit in limbo. Now, Kevin Lutz has found one and graciously decided to cast them himself. NOW we can all have one at a reasonable price! THANKS, Kev!!!!

Shhhhhhh, Jeff, we DON'T wanna mess things up for Kev!!! MIGHT be the ONLY virgin he comes across for a LOOOOOONG time!!!

Model car club failure....
george 53 replied to modelmike's topic in Model Club News and Announcements
Mike, "It's NOT OVER till WE SAY it's OVER!!!!!" Keep on pitchin it,Mike. Run off some flyers an leave them wherever they'll letcha!! If you gotta LHS, that's a GREAT place ta start! If you have an Aco or Ace Hardware store that provides a "Citizens bulletin board" you know, a sell.buy type of board, post them rascals there! Other than runnin an add in your local paper, word of mouth is the next best thing. MAYBE you can put an add in the "Social" section of you local paper announcing it. hth -
Oh yeah, she's sweet lookin alright!!!

Patrick, Bullet's car was a 68 390 4spd. The model comes with an FE big block, manual trans. I believe the car had a black interior, and i THINK the color was deep forest green color. I DON'T know the exact name for Fords color of it. Just goin from memory so i'm probably wrong on the exact color. I built the Revell Die Cast and just detailed the engine and interior. Much easier for me, caz I still don't paint so hot!!! Came out pretty nice, if I say so myself.

What's not to understand? If i don't like it, I won't buy it.Simple as that. Do YOU buy stuff you don't like SIMPLY to buy it? I'm on a pension, so I don't do things like that..Besides, we all have our ways, like i said.

I for one won't ever buy the 53 Hornet. IF i get one as a gift, I'll graciously accept it, but I won't buy it. I just don't have any interest in it, It doesn't spark a lite in my fire, that's all. I don't build 24 th scale cars for the same reason, I don't care for the size difference. I have MANY 24th scale aircraft, as that's the only scale I can find close to 25th, But if the cars not available in 25th but it is in 24th then MAYBE but not often. NEVER got the 70 GSX by monmogram exactly for that reason. When R&R came out with a resin cast 25th scale GSX, I bought two of them. To each his own, and I don't feel I'm missing out on anything because of my bigotrie(sp?) I got MORE than enough kits to build without changing my habits. I've been thru the different scales of other types of kit, I chose 1/48th for aircraft and built MANY over the years, But my true love has always been cars, so in my later years, I choose to do them exclusively. In fact I sold most of my unbuilt planes to another member here who wanted them. As long as I build ,I'm being happy, and as long as i build CARS, I', even happier. But hey, that's just me. I'm sure I'm not the only one with thier own quirks!

What scale is that? I've never seen that particular Jada model. It IS die cast, yes? BEAUTIFUL paint job!!!!
