  1. Thank you Steven, Randy, and Darryl!
  2. Bench is pretty well cleared off, wrapping this one up, and on to the next one. Later, http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/subs-to-mcm/
  3. Thank you very much Brett, Niko, Rodney, and Rick. I appreciate your compliments. Brett, your racers are awesome, you do great work. And how cool is it that your wife builds too? I say very cool, and her builds look great too! Niko, love your Farm Rod! Rodney, still trying to track you down, haven't yet, but thanks for checking out my stuff. Rick, same with you, haven't found your work yet, but looking....and your BBQ stuff looks awesome! Thanks guys!
  4. I don't mind at all, I'm flattered. Thank you for the compliment. Most all are shiny, but I'm working on my first rusty one now, all because of you. Thanks for the inspiration!
  5. Another cool thread....I can't keep up with all the stuff on this site....my lot, at least the survivors. Later, http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/plastic-parking-lot/
  6. Thank you very much, Henry, Brett, Shane, and Virgil. I appreciate your compliments very much! Also, I've befriended you as well good Doctor, thanks!
  7. Hey everyone, Just wanted to post a finished one here. My most detailed build to date, a far cry from more than most on this site, but I tried a lot of new things, materials, etc. Learned a lot, would definitely do some things differently, but I'm ok with most of the firsts. Thanks for checking out my stuff. Later, http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/1970-challenger-fun/
  8. Definitely one of the coolest looking models I've seen. Too many details to pick a favorite, but a couple of my favorite parts are the ammo belt, and the way you chopped it and left that long sloping window. Look forward to seeing more of your stuff! Later,
  9. Crazy cool build here! Ok, now you posted the first pics on Oct 8, and posted these pics on Oct 11...3 days...amazing! Later,
  10. Looks great. The paint looks like it's still wet. The trim is sweet too! Later,
  11. Turned out real nice. Jungle Jim has always been one of my all time favorites and you did him justice here. Later,
  12. Cool looking rail, I love the color combo. Later,
  13. Sorry I'm late...first attempt at weathering / rusting...good fun. http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/subs-to-mcm/dsc05573.html
  14. Crazy impressive looking build. I like the paint job and the realistic look to the engines, particularly the heat staining to the pipes...and everything else, really kind of hard to pick particular thing...
  15. Tony Nancy kit, Woo Hoo, hope I can do this kit some justice! http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/tony-nancy-kit/
  16. Thank you Doctor Cranky! Ken, thank you as well sir! I agree on the other kits you mentioned. It takes at least two to have a drag race, right? I thought about the mud too....then chickened out....Stingaree... Joe, thank you, thank you, thank you! I think a blade would be sweet! Thank you to Bart as well, whom I missed earlier in this thread. Thank you all for checking out my stuff!
  17. Hey, looks great. I really like the paint. I can never seem to get Silvers to look very good. Super looking build. Later,
  18. Chopped the top and lowered the rear, in the works.... Dave http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/subs-to-mcm/
  19. Thanks Wayne! That's a heck of an idea, I never even thought of that, I should have split it up. I put a carrier bearing waaaaaay up front, but I should have added another and spaced them out. That is an excellent idea for another build, thanks again! I'm stoked that you like it!
  20. Thanks Jim, and yeah good thing it doesn't have to work....because I'm know it wouldn't
  21. Thank you very much guys, I'm more than flattered.
  22. Holy smokes, those bolt heads are neat....patience, patience,...I have to keep telling myself that. You have to have incredible patience. Not my strong point....
  23. I agree with everyone, this looks amazing. Would love some more info on this build...
  24. Beautiful paint, super detailing, and I just tried to do to my pipes what you did here...fail! I have to know how you did that...it looks great!
  25. Sweet, love the slung rubber!
