  1. Sorry I'm late...first attempt at weathering / rusting...good fun. http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/subs-to-mcm/dsc05573.html
  2. Crazy impressive looking build. I like the paint job and the realistic look to the engines, particularly the heat staining to the pipes...and everything else, really kind of hard to pick particular thing...
  3. Tony Nancy kit, Woo Hoo, hope I can do this kit some justice! http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/tony-nancy-kit/
  4. Thank you Doctor Cranky! Ken, thank you as well sir! I agree on the other kits you mentioned. It takes at least two to have a drag race, right? I thought about the mud too....then chickened out....Stingaree... Joe, thank you, thank you, thank you! I think a blade would be sweet! Thank you to Bart as well, whom I missed earlier in this thread. Thank you all for checking out my stuff!
  5. Hey, looks great. I really like the paint. I can never seem to get Silvers to look very good. Super looking build. Later,
  6. Chopped the top and lowered the rear, in the works.... Dave http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/subs-to-mcm/
  7. Thanks Wayne! That's a heck of an idea, I never even thought of that, I should have split it up. I put a carrier bearing waaaaaay up front, but I should have added another and spaced them out. That is an excellent idea for another build, thanks again! I'm stoked that you like it!
  8. Thanks Jim, and yeah good thing it doesn't have to work....because I'm know it wouldn't
  9. Thank you very much guys, I'm more than flattered.
  10. Holy smokes, those bolt heads are neat....patience, patience,...I have to keep telling myself that. You have to have incredible patience. Not my strong point....
  11. I agree with everyone, this looks amazing. Would love some more info on this build...
  12. Beautiful paint, super detailing, and I just tried to do to my pipes what you did here...fail! I have to know how you did that...it looks great!
  13. Sweet, love the slung rubber!
  14. Looks great. Obviously like the design, but also love that color and the matching Carbon Fiber... Inspiring work.
  15. Stunning paint work, and clean as pin build!
  16. Top notch work for sure. Your White "Alternative Altered" is on the cover of my very first issue of "another" magazine I subscribed to. Very cool!
  17. Hey Steven, Very nice work here! You complimented the cleanliness of my work,(thank you) but yours is cleaner than mine! I love the White belts and all the chrome on that slingshot. Keep up the good work, I look forward to more. Later,
  18. Wow, some serious work areas here. My corner of sanity, kits, mags, and supplies to the left, reference / computer area, and paint booth to the right, business in the middle. Another cool thread... Later, Dave
  19. Thanks Jim, I love them SHINY too! I have found super inspiration here for trying my hand at weathering some, and I will....but long live the GLOSS! Thanks Bernard, and yes, this was one of my most enjoyable builds. I love these old dragsters, and I'm stoked that you like it. Thanks to Dave, Dr. Cranky, and Shane as well...I have mad respect for all of you guys and I am flattered. Pretty much finished this one up with some fuel lines, no idea if they would have / could have been done this way, but ignorance is bliss! You'll likely find that my builds lean far more towards visual than accurate... ..chute, helmet, etc. Thanks for checking out my stuff!
  20. I have one of the two. I've not started the other yet, but I will. Hope these help. Later, Dave
  21. Thank you very much Chris, and Mark! Dave
  22. Hey, Not sure where this fits in the forum, (apologies if this is not the right place) a bit of a different build for me. Mud dragster, used the wheels and tires off of a 1/64 Hot Wheels monster truck. Nail polish, chopped top, some minor scratch bits. Fun build. Hope you like it. Later, Dave
  23. Looks great, really like the color combo and interior detailing,....and I'm with Jim, can you tell us where the shifter came from? Later, Dave
  24. Really neat looking build. The holes and rivets look great, and of course the rust, but the worn decals are my favorite extra touch. Enjoyed the story/theme behind the build up too. Thanks for sharing this. Later, Dave
  25. Super looking dragster! I really like the extra details, and the headers are one of my favorite parts. Beautiful addition to any collection. Nice work. Later, Dave
