  1. I'll use this first day to thank Greg Pugh for his part in a short conversation that we had privately, a few weeks back. Thanks Greg.
  2. Very cool. I like the video. No mistaking what your talking about, and like the review of the kit while showing the build. Nothing wrong with box stock IMO. I do a lot of box stock builds. I've done some detail work, but I really need to nail more of the fundamentals. Look forward to checking out your build room too. (tonight when I get to the house) Thanks for posting!
  3. Cool idea for a build here, and nice looking work so far. I don't know enough to really comment on which way to go. Sure looks like it will be impressive either way. Are the wheels from the "Woody" kit? Nice choice.
  4. Even more impressive, thanks!
  5. I agree here too. Beautiful build. I like the color, and great trim work.
  6. All look very good! Have to go with the first 55 and the Yellow 69 Nova as my favorites. Nice work!
  7. I agree, this one looks great. The paint looks like glass and I like the satin/pastel look to driver, he looks quite realistic. Did you paint or re-chrome the hub caps? Just curious because I recently built a kit with similar caps and only (1) of the (4) was unscratched straight out of the box. Oh, and sweet subtle heat staining on the pipes!
  8. I have no rules and do whatever I want. That said it does look like I have been staying fairly ERA correct, but I'm sure that's just because it looked right, not necessarily intentional. It seems to me that there are basically two groups, those that strive for accuracy and those that do not. I do not, but more so just try to spark/feed my imagination.
  9. Very nice work, cool idea, and love that display!
  10. Looks excellent. I've always liked this body style. I haven't seen a lot of these built, thanks for posting!

    New guy

Hey Joe, Good to see these again. Glad to see you here! Later,
  12. A beautiful eye searing Green! Love it. This turned out far better looking than the box art for sure. As clean as a pin and just visually stunning paint job!
  13. You both did a great job, and IMO she has excellent taste is cars and in wheel choices! Bravo!
  14. Eyegore's build looks cool too! Love your custom decals. I've got to start making some decals. Seems like everyone here is doing that...
  15. Crazy work here! Love them all, but particularly the 65 Chevy Truck, and everything without a top!
  16. Cool looking builds. I like the custom roadster with the barbed wire, and the Heli-Hemi the best. Great stuff.
  17. Looks to have a been a good year. The Double Shot, and the VW are my favorites. I like the different things you add, like the grill inserts on the 41's... Motivational work for sure.

    Viper

Turned out real nice Tim. I too like the color combo, and it looks good and straight. Can't tell that you had fit issues by looking at it. Nice work, and glad to see you over here too. Dave
  19. Some really nice work from you guys. I've believe that I've finished five this year. http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/1950-austin-gasser/ http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/amt-slingshot-drags/ http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/pioneer-reynard-indy-car/ http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/weathered-rod/ http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/weathered-pick-up/ Later,
  20. Great job on that engine!
  21. The mug came today, the book last week. Two birds, one stone. Both Christmas gifts, not "allowed" to use or peruse, but can't wait. http://public.fotki....m/dsc05888.html
  22. Wow, I'd bet that paint scheme took awhile. Looks impressive and unique. Later,
  23. Nice work on this truck! Congrats on the award too! Unique color and great stance. Later,
  24. Great looking build. I especially like what you did with the tail lights and the license plate. Later,
  25. Hey, cool build here. Decal work looks good. I've got a Gene Snow Vega waiting in the wings. This is certainly motivation to move it closer to the top of the to do list. Later,
