Hey guys, A build with a few years on it. Built for a girl, dont have the girl any more, still have the model. Old enough that it was before I found sites like this, so to lower it, I cut the pins off, shoved the wheels up till they touched, and glued where palstic met plastic...Oh the good old days before I was pulling my hair out trying to do stuff I see on this site! Thanks for looking! Dave
  4. Thanks guys, your comments mean a lot! Ron, thank you as well, and I only wish I could pinstripe by hand. They are decals, and I used Micro Sol and Micro Set, so kudos to the chemicals. Thanks for looking! Dave
  5. Looks great. I like the color and how you carried the Blue theme through with the wires, rearend, and shocks. Nice!
  6. Very cool. Like Sean said, the styrene rod is impressive. To me in paticular because I like the idea of trying to build a chassis, but I can't solder well at all at this point. I wonder if I'd have better luck this way. Anyway, will be watching, thanks for sharing. Dave
  7. Very cool, and I think a very nice job!

  10. Hey, looks great. Like the others said the paint is sharp. I haven't seen a lot of Yellow engines, looks cool.
  11. Hey guys, Old "T" truck, and my second attempt at weathering, (at least the salt deal), not much else. Toned down a bit from my first try, but still a long way to go, have to try some of the other techniques to do other stuff too. Thanks for looking! more pics: http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/weathered-rod/
  12. Haha! Larry, nope, mine had the stock set-up, but I was young, had wild idea, and if I couldv'e run this, I would have! My truck did look like this though, same colors (all three) and all the holes. 292ci straight six, 4 speed with the granny gear, long horn bed, and two extra gas tanks! Dave
  13. Hey guys, A fun build to try weathering one. I used to have this truck in high school, less the front end. It makes me laugh. Anyway, hope you like it, and thanks for looking. Dave There are more pics here...http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/trucks/1972-pick-up-weathered-1/weathered-pick-up/
