  1. Looks super. As the others said, the paint is definitely the stand out. It still looks wet!
  2. Great subject, and great work!
  3. I love it! Need to add a flat top racer to my to do list!
  4. These are both super trick!
  5. Looks super. The color is perfect, and I've never seen one of these before either.
  6. I like this one too. Eye searing color!
  7. Sweet! If you'd have told me about the colors beforehand, I never would have imagined it would look this good. Gives it a very competition ready look.
  8. Looks great. I like the two tone and the paint work looks smooth.
  9. Beautiful work here. Love the color and the trim work!
  10. Thanks guys! I appreciate you looking and taking the time to comment.
  11. Nice work. The bent license plate and missing hubcap certainly add to the realism.
  12. Looks great. I love the wheels and the Blacked out trim.
  13. Very nice build. I like the Blue, and the Pie Crust tires in particular.
  14. A very long time to finish this one...it's too long of a story. Thanks for looking! http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/trucks/1953-ish-pickup-wip/1953-ish-finished/
  15. Hey everyone, Finished this one. Was building it for my wife. She is now my ex-wife. The divorce is the reason for the delay. Originally, I just wasn't interested in modeling. Then I spent a long time trying to decide whether to finish it or smash it with a hammer. I've never not finished a kit before, so I chose to finish. No motivation, no interest, just wanted it done. It's not my best, but it's not my worst, it's just finished. Sorry for the non model related schpeal, but my heart wasn't in it and I think it shows, so that's my excuse. Thanks for looking though! 16. Condolences and prayers.
  17. Hey Eric, Beautiful build here. Clean as a pin as always. Thanks for the info on the finish. As the others have said, it's the deal sealer on this one! Thanks for sharing it here.
  18. Thank you Manny, I appreciate you checking out my stuff. That Camaro was fun, but done a while back so I'm a bit embarrassed with the it not quite being finished/buttoned up. But, on the shelf I think it looks pretty cool too. I'm surprised that I have received a few compliments about that car.Thank you for yours. Thank you very much too Greg. Sorry it's been so long to reply. Anyway, I have been working on this truck. I needed to take some meat off of the wheels and wheel backs to make them fit the tires, opened up the front wheel backs to take some hubs that had tubing added to fit the kit front suspension. A pic of the wheels a bit further along. Primary painting to the interior...Red. Not sure how it would look with this body color, but seeing it, I like it. You guys? Minor engine beginnings, painted and foiled the interior of the bed, and a partial mock. I've gotten a couple of warnings about some fit and alignment on this kit...I'm proceeding cautiously. Not sure how to sub folder my WIP submissions in Fotki.... Hopefully not too difficult to discern what's new. Thanks for looking! http://public.fotki.com/ssdave/trucks/1953-ish-pickup-wip/build/
  19. Very impressive work, love the engine detailing. I've seen some of your stuff elsewhere in the past, glad to have found you again. Really enjoy your work. Have this one in the stash, and this is great inspiration.
  20. Well, your being one of the best goes without saying. I also like your choice of subjects, and the pics and explanations on materials and tools, etc. The finish on everyhting is top notch, but to me the realistic finish on the engine pieces is the simply amazing. Just glad I found this place, and am around at the right time to see your work. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Nice work here. I too like the color, and the combo with the White. Like your engine details too. Good WIP, some good tips and a cool kit. Later,
  22. Wow, nice job on that front end. I struggle to bash two plastic kits together. Later,
