  8. Thanks everyone, this was one of their best and a nice straight forward build. The center of the chrome molding on the sides, was hand painted. Al
  9. Excellent Workmanship. Outstanding build
  10. Thanks everyone. I used to work for EWA a great model car store in New Jersey, now out of business and they had this one off Spark kit collecting dust, so they sold it to me for 50 bucks. The detail is outstanding and it was a fun, but long build. If your at a swap meet and come across one of these, buy it, you won't be sorry. Al
  11. This one took me 3 years of my life. The decal's were murder. It's a Spark resin kit that takes a lot of fiddling, filing and grinding, to get it done. I think it came out pretty good though. Thanks for looking. Al
  12. Here's mine, The 3 tone grey and black is a Monogram and the green one is a Franklin Mint. Al
  13. This one is 1:18 scale. I have 9 CMC's and everyone is a work of art. They are so nice, the wife let's me display them in glass cases in the living and that's saying a lot.Al
  14. This is another box stock, painted in Tamiya's Italian Red with Tamiya clear. The only thing I changed from the kit was the 61 period white walls. Great model kit. Al
  15. Thanks guys. I must have been stoned from the paint fumes when I built this one, because I never remember building it. The 60's were good to me Al
  16. I must have been on pain pills when I came up with this color. I was looking for my bottle of black wash and came across this build from a couple of years ago, forgot I did it. It's real SHINY and I'll leave it at that. Al
  17. Boring tan was a McHenry County exclusive.
  18. Boring tan was the only color I remember as a kid.
  19. Thank god I'm out of Maroon paint. I like the color but 10 maroon models get old. The red walls are resin, but not the soft tires of today. These were like rocks and getting mount them on the AMT wheels, got me 11 stitches. But the crazy glue stopped the bleeding while I finished mounting them and before going to the hospital. A modeller never stops a project. This was a painful build, but worth it. Al
  20. Before I got back into building model cars again. I bought a lot of high diecast and this is one of my favorites. Made from more than eleven hundred separate pieces. Materials used include leather, copper, brass, steel, zamac, and cloth. Hand-spoked Borrani wheels with stunning detail. Opening trunk, doors, hood, and gas door. Working front coil and rear leaf spring suspension. Knock off wheels. Fully-plumbed disc brakes. Incredibly detailed undercarriage. Copper and steel wire underneath, rivited into place with metal, perfectly replicate the connections to the brakes, emergency brake, transmission, and rear. The stamped-copper hood opens on a friction strut. The detail of the V-12 Ferrari engine under the hood is simply amazing. The interior reveals more incredible detail. With real leather seats and door panels, all hand-stitched. I wish I could build them like this. Al
  21. Beautiful job!!! I love 60's Land Yachts.
  22. Beautiful workmanship. Who made the Crown Vic?
  23. Here you go, More Hirohata Merc.
  24. The box said 1950, what do the French know.
  25. Another Provence Moulage 1:43 resin kits. Painted Testors boring tan. With a set of Durham Wide White. I wish they do this in 1:25 soon. Al
