Both the Amt w900 and k100 had the torsion bar suspension. They both were changed to the Hendrickson walking beam with the release of the Kw/Challenge mixer kit. FYI the cabover Kw has Fuller road ranger tranny. The Watkins w900 and the Movin On truck are exactly the same kit with different box art and decals.
Typical Amt kit of the time no real surprises. Shares much with the Road boss kit much like the real truck. Biggest issue wheelbase a little short for sleeper. Details seem a little crisper than original. Decal sheet is very nice with red and white stripes. No flash and chrome decent.
With the upcoming release of the AMT Peterbilt 352 from Round 2 I wander if Tim or others might have any comments on it,s good and bad points etc. Even though I've built the kit countless times since it's original release it would be good to hear others comments.
Jacobus, I'm not sure if anyone is making crackerbox cab now maybe someone can enlighten us. The crackerbox conversion is closely related to the astro as the astro replaced the crackerbox in GMC's line.
