  1. Nice Swedish iron.
  2. I see the wipers on the photo etch set, the kfs wipers make sense too. All the astro/titan pics look good. Overall considering the age of these kits they're pretty good.
  3. I would say 1/8th inch is a good figure to use. Lowering the cab makes that kit look so much better. The other thing needing a change is the wipers. Any ideas on them ? I've always thought the grille is to thick as well ,the photo etch grilles should solve that allowing proper mounting of the bumper.
  4. While I'm waiting for parts I'll try to learn to post pics.
  5. I agree shoulb be close enough to work. We really nned a good isx Cummins.
  6. Nice pic Chuckyr, that's what I had in mind. See em all the time in NE Iowa,Wi and Mn. Thanks for all the positive comments. Seen Lindberg is releasing all the old IMC trailers separately that's what got me thinking.
  7. I was just mulling over the idea of putting a couple of lift axles on Ertl's Paystar and mounting a Lindberg ( IMC ) milk tanker body on it to make a quad axle straight truck. Any thoughts?
  8. We can only hope. Look forward to more stories. Good luck with new place.
  9. Correct it used to be a Monogram kit. It still has loads of potential for a snap tite kit. The 3406 Cat engine is very good and can be put in a lot of other trucks.
  10. I can't remember where I read it but I read the Budd company built the Ford w and the Dodge L as they did so many cabs. Either way they certainly could be related. No doubt IMC missed the boat. On a side note check the Wheels of Time magizine archives for an article called "The cabmakers of Orrville" it's a very interesting read. Great conversation I thought everybody fell off the face the earth the last week or so.
  11. Dodge and Ford used the same cab with their own details just like Ford c series shared a cab with the Mack n series. Cab sharing between competing brands was common.
  12. My mistake I was thinking of the prostar. Maybe they should extend the hood like they did on the prostar.
  13. Dodge made heavy trucks (class 7-8) for about 5 decades starting as Grahm Bros in the 20s till they quit in 1975. The L series coe was built from about 1964 to 1975. It used the same cab as the W series Ford coe. The first Dodge truck bulit with a Detroit diesel 8v71 engine was a 1964 L series built for D C trucking . It's a shame IMC didn't produce this kit. Dodge trucks were fairly popular, there should have been more models produced of them as well as White, GMC and Ford trucks.
  14. Check truckpaper.com they are out there seen several on the lot already particularly in Canada.
  15. The IH 4300 is the same as the current 4300 eagle with a few extra parts (roll bar etc)
