  3. Wow these are all coming along really well guys. Martin those mods are looking cool, I like what you're doing there.
  4. Oh man the more of these I see that more I want one Great job on that Daniel, very tidy build
  5. They're about 1.5mm on the outside, with a ~0.8mm hole. Here's another pic, although it doesn't really show the size any better-
  6. I also had a very similar experience, cutting up a chassis with an exacto. I even documented the healing proccess in photos so I never forget to be careful with new blades Prompted me to get a razor saw for those kind of jobs
  7. I put a coat of flat black on the back of a hood, then sat it under some flood lights I was using to help dry parts as the weather was cold. Ten minutes later- 'this isn't doing anything, I'll move the lights a little closer to dry it faster'. Thirty seconds later I look up and wonder what happened to the hood, all that was left on the bench was something resembling a prawn chip Lesson learned: patience. And never underestimate the power of heat when it comes to flat black paint on plastic
  8. Mate don't you read the warning labels? It says do not inhale!! Love it, can't wait for more

  11. It's been a while but worth the wait, lots of cool new resin bits available. Just thought I'd shout it out since I know at least a few people here have been eagerly waiting to spend their pocket money there http://www.thepartsbox.com/

  23. Thanks Harry Watching the first part of that video Casey I can see my guess wasn't too far off. Thanks for posting that up, I found it quite interesting. Well, on the the second part!
  24. I have a question related to this topic. How do they make the molds? Harry you just mentioned that "the shapes of the parts to be made [are] carved into them". I guess today they make a master, then use some sort of computerized scanner to map the master onto a computer, then use a CNC mill (or similar machine) to cut the shapes. But what about in the 60's when that kind of technology wasn't available (or was it?)? Did they carve the tooling my hand? Just curious.
