  1. This is coming along wildly. More progress if you please Sir
  2. lol how awesome are those? Great job Derrick, you captured the Doc perfectly I reckon
  3. That thing is a GEM! Precious metal indeed
  4. Wow Randy, that is some seriously in-depth fabricating! All the details are so fine, and spot on I reckon
  5. Not in college, and not on campus, but yes I can relate to studies making modeling hard. Currently studying for my year 12 final exams. They start next month, so it shouldn't be too long before I can get back to the bench. Hopefully you can get an opportunity somewhere to build a model soon. Or maybe get a new roommate who happens to be a fellow modeller
  6. No need to apologize for my having seen it before, it's good to get another look at this one Mate that is one killa build, and it looks incredibly realistic in the pics.
  7. Another super tidy build Ray, getting about as clean as Luke Sweetly smooth paint, and those exhaust pipes and wheels mean business Nice one mate.
  8. Excellent tutorial Luke, maybe you should copy it into a new thread in the 'Tips and Tricks' section of the forum too, for easy finding? Not a truck builder (yet lol), so I may never use this tutorial, but I appreciate the to-the-point explanation and super-clear pics as much as the next bloke. Build on man
  9. Crazy build mate, looks great Greg, I bought some chain just like that from a local hobby shop. He also had leather cord and ribbon in the same spot, so maybe a shop specializing in jewelry supplies or a good craft shop would have it?
  10. This just keeps getting better, love it Chas great work
  11. If only those serpentine pulley systems could be somehow mass produced, I would never have any spare change Beautiful work Bill, this thing is a true masterpiece.
  12. As always mate, incredible work
  13. Insanity, pure insanity......................
  14. Thank you for the comments guys Thanks Joe, so far I've only been doing parts for friends and for my own use. Would you be interested in any of these parts? If so, I may be able to help you out, after my exams next month and once I get some more resin
  15. Thanks Corey and Andy I'm wondering what to do about the Centrelines when I cast them. The tyres I'm using are from an old diecast. Should I cast the wheel with the tyre as one piece or try to get some sort of soft cast stuff to cast the tyre separate? What should I use to cast the tyre if I do cast it separate? Thanks in advance for any help.
  16. Looking good, what colours are you thinking? I reckon a flat blue with red pinstripe flames would be cool.
  17. Thanks fellas, I appreciate the kind comments Here's a bit more of my work- PDW wheel. I made it for a mate, it was my first crack at a wheel and casting,so it's pretty rough. 1:18 scale- Here's another PDW wheel, same scale. It's the race version of the one above, pretty similar though. The remade master and (first attempt) squash mould turned out ok, but my resin was starting to go no good :/ (I'd had it for more than a year, so no surprise). Here's another master I did the other day, Centreline Smoothie. 1:25 this time. Eager to get some more resin so I can cast this one- Again, if you have any criticism let me hear it. Ya can't get better if ya don't know what ya doing wrong, right? Thanks for looking
  18. You might already be aware, but if you do use Excel, a template might make it easier http://www.gcflearnfree.org/excel2007/14.2
  19. Hi folks, Just thought I'd share some of my resin work. I'm pretty new to this still, so critical comments are welcome All from my own masters. Whipple style supercharger- SBC cover Also some flathead headers. Can't seem to find a pic of one of the resin pops, but here are the masters- I'd like to thank a (pretty quiet) member of this forum, Probee. He was kind enough to show me the ropes, it has helped incredibly, thanks mate. Thanks for looking, this stuff is so much fun
  20. When it comes to engines, you can never go too wild!
