My wife and I were out antiquing yesterday. I ran across 4 of the Indy Snap un-opened Kits The prices are $15.00-$18.00. Any opinion on these kits? Thanks Mike

Steve, I had no symptoms at all. There is no history of any type of cancer in our family tree. I don't know why a blood test would do more harm than good. There is a possibility of a false positive result. If you want to reach out to Steve aka Slotto with a PM, He may share with you what happen to him at age 45. I do believe in Modern Medicine. Mike

Thanks for the info. I got it at a very reasonable price. I did some checking around for prices. About $50.00 is the average for it. I only got 1 offer for the kit. I am on final assembly on 2 cars now. I might start this MG next. Thanks Mike

I would let the White Lighting cure for about a month. Then clear coat or use inter coat to protect the paint. Let cure for another month. This will stop the paint from pulling off when you pull off the tape. A dehydrator will cut down curing time to a couple of days. Ask the guys if 2k clear would provide more protection. Good luck Mike

Revell parts replacement
Mike 1017 replied to RichCostello's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Jay, I ordered the parts I needed from Revell after I talked to you. They arrived yesterday. One problem though. They sent 1 correct part and 1 wrong part. Both of the glass trees were missing from the Jaquar E-Type kit. I just sent off another request to Revell. I will see what happens. I hope that the other glass tree arrives soon. Thanks Mike -

Being a Mecum fan, I wonder what kind of $ it would bring. The trend now is original non-restored cars. Mike -

My dad was a body and fender man for over 50 years. He also owned his own shop. Bondo dust, paint fumes, working with lead, welding fumes, grinding particles and asbestos. One would think that is what led to his death. Not so. It was the 2 pack a day smoking habit. I think that we are all safe. Unless we are pre-disposed to some chemical that will affect our health. A big problem with Pension plans is that employees will forego pension payment for increase of benefits and pay. Soon the pension payments owed are into the millions. This pension problem is not limited to businesses. Most Cities and States have this enormous problem. Chicago and Illinois are a perfect example. The solution RAISE TAXES. Mike

Mica powder as flocking. Lessons learned.
Mike 1017 replied to Bills72sj's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Pearls powders are liquid soluble. They are used to be mixed in with paint to achieve the desired pearl effect. Any contact with any type of liquids, glues included will start the pigments to dissolve. There are tons of different colored embossing powder available. Good luck Mike -

Being a truck driver for 45 years I have seen a lot of deer vs vehicle outcomes. The one that sticks in mind Is when a deer crossed over 2 lanes, the medium and then crossed over to the other side and ran right into the rear quarter panel of a car. The poor woman never saw it coming. She probably stopped to change underwear. IMO deer are the stupidest animal on the planet. I don't know why they don't consider cars or trucks dangerous? They have seen what happens to others. Almost all animals run away from cars. But not deer. Mike

I found these guys while watering our green pepper garden. All of a sudden I see things crawling out of a hole in the dirt. At first I thought that these were big snakes. I relocated them down by the woods by me. I have told my wife not to plant rabbit food. Mike
