  1. Thanks again for all the love guys. In regards to the cowl induction idea, LOVE IT! That's basicly what I had on it but didn't want to cut the hood. Shoulda just cut it. Lol The wheels are from an old Monogram Vega from the late 70s that's lurking in my boneyard. Hard to believe I've had this since new. Maybe my next redo for the gluebomb thread. Lol (Here's a pic of the kit from the web)
  2. Great job. I've always loved this kit but I've never had one turn out this nice.
  3. Nice work. I love these cars and you did a great job.
  4. Cool concept and neat build. I like it.
  5. Given your subject matter I thought you might like this pic. I pass this car every day.
  6. Thanks for all the kind words and the tip on the personalized plates. I originally wanted to cut the hood and add a scoop like the factory option. Maybe now that's the way I'll go with it. Maybe then IT WILL LAY FLAT! Lol
  7. I forgot one last piece (other than saving the hood) is to add the ACME plate. Dont have it on the car but how do you like this? Keep the faith

  9. Brittle plastic. Lol. Thought I was being gentle but not much flex to this old plastic. The hoods gonna need a complete redo but it's gonna have to wait. ?
  10. That looks great. I love the first pic especially. I thought it was real at first. Great job. That paint is gorgeous.
  11. Nice build. Been wanting to do a corvair for a long time. It's on my list. Good job.
  12. Ive had this kit forever and this is actually the third build it's gone through. It's been languishing in a box since we moved about 15 years ago and it got damaged. Here's what I started this build with Everything was stripped and redone using all kit parts except for the wheels and the missing air cleaner which came from the parts box. Here's the finished product. And then when I couldn't get the hood to sit completely flat I wound up doing this. Fortunately it looks good without the hood too. Lol
  13. Well other than starting over on the hood the Fury is done. Here's the pics. Doesnt look bad without hood in the mean time. Lol
  14. Okay that's just not better!!!! Changed the air cleaner but the hood still wouldn't sit completely flat. I thought I could coax it a little bit but this old plastic is pretty stiff. Oh well. I'll post finished pics tomorow. I've had enough for today.
  15. Don't you hate when everything fits during the test but then when you glue it together you get this? Now I've got to find a different air cleaner
  16. Should be real easy to set up an excel spreadsheet for this.
  17. Great work. I love the look. Buick shoulda built it.
  18. If its models then build it any way you want. I build both stock and custom/hot rod With 1:1 cars I see things a little different. While I love a good concourse restoration or survivor original car, I also love hot rods and customs. I guess it would depend on the vehicle. I do hate to see a good original car cut up for hot rodding though. There are only so many originals left and plenty of non-original, restorable tin out there to hot rod.
  19. Wow. Nice work. Love the engine detail.
  20. Nice work. I've always wanted to do this one. Good work
  21. We doing WIP pics on this or just finished shots? (not that I've made any progress yet. Lol)
  22. Neat idea. Curious to see how this comes out
  23. Absolutely fantastic job. Has a period correct look to it. Super nice job on chopping the roof too.
  24. Looks pretty darn good to me. And you are absolutely right, the fit on these are horrible.
  25. Okay. I've just got to say WOW!!! On that engine. Sweet detailing. The rest of this build is coming along nicely to. Looking forward to more updates.
