  1. Very nice. Good clean build and a tasteful custom. Nice work
  2. If my truck was nice enough to make it into a magazine I'd make sure it looked perfect. I do have to say though that my neighbor does absolutely correct 69 Z28 restorations and even if you don't drive them they still age and all your finishes tarnish. Nothing stays perfect. Once it's done it's all downhill or endless maintenance. I don't want one so nice it takes that much work.
  3. Always sorry to hear about someone getting broken into. Been there, done that. Twice in the same year. Then I moved. People don't realize how much they are being watched. I'm out every day walking a beat for the postal service and I can always tell when a customer is going out of town. Out comes the fifth wheel, trailer, camper or whatever and it sits there for a week while they clean and pack it. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out and successful crooks aren't stupid or they'd get caught. When we go out of town I have several people go by the house to check on the pets n get the mail plus let my neighbors know I'm gonna be gone. We gotta watch out for each other.
  4. The nearest hobby lobby here is 40 miles away. Never been there. Probably never will.
  5. Cute. Nice to talk to people that share my sense of humor ?. Not sure if I'm going to use a clear coat or not but nice to know its an option still. Guess I'll see how the plastic polishes up.
  6. Great looking truck. Paint and finish are awesome. Nice detailing in the engine compartment too. Which kit did you start with?
  7. Great looking truck. Has a nice mean look to it Looks a little sinister. I like it.
  8. Nice looking truck. Looks like its ready for the car show. Lol. Nice work
  9. Okay finally got a couple pics of the Cadi stripped. It came real clean. Maybe because I didn't use any primer the first time? Anyway the body is clean with no sink marks or body work needed. I could almost polish it up for the "Naked styrene" thread. Lol All I need to repair are both the vent window posts. Hopefully more soon
  10. Quick question- Anyone know what happens if you shoot a gloss clear coat over "naked" plastic?
  11. Looks like somone started with a vacuum or something for the body. Crazy
  12. If your gonna put a roof over the spa how about a clear panel instead of a sun roof.
  13. Very nice work going on here. I really like that gold but I gotta tell you I believe a trans am should be black. Lol
  14. Looks good so far. Don't stop
  15. I've found that a hammer works really well unless you actually want to use the contents. Lol If I can't twist it off with a good set of pliers I tip it upside down in a shallow small dish and put just a few drops of thinner around the seal of the lid. Tends to work it's way in. Usually you just need more elbow grease on the pliers though.
  16. Always thought this was a cool looking car. Nice build. Looks good
  17. Sorry to say but I quit watching long ago. I love car and motorcycle building shows but I get tired of the "reality" drama.
  18. Looking good so far. Love the paint and custom rims. Very nice
  19. I love this kit. I'm doing one for the Naked Styrene thread. Like the tip for the leaf springs. I built this kit many years ago and the leaf springs and the axle pins to mount the wheels were very weak. I'll be watching to see how this comes out. Keep up the good work.
  20. Incredible. Great work. I'm impressed.

    Drop test!

Looks like it went back together pretty well. Wish I could same the same for all my broken kits. Gotta admit though that I do like the new rims.
  22. I have used toothpicks at times for bolts n knobs etc. works great.
  23. I've renewed my drivers lic here in California by mail several times. Last time they told me I HAD to come in for a new photo because it had been to long. Sad
  24. Sure glad to hear everyone came out okay. Motorcycles are a blast but when things happen they happen fast and the results are usually messy. I've ridden my whole life and thank the Lord I've never had anything worse than a few scrapes. You seem to think about it more when you get older though. Give your son a big hug and be thankful for every minute you have. None of us ate promised to have tomorow.
