  1. I got excited when I head Tamiya was doing a 1:6 Harley. I was praying that it would be a 72 though, every time I see one in a show room I got crazy over it. (The one to the far right) I'm still glad to see a Fat Boy. It's not my favorite Harley but it's still a step in the right direction.
  2. Yes I am. I picked up a 69' Stang for a buck and figured I'd paint it up real nice for an HO Diorama. It's actually a really nice little toy and is very crisp and proportionally correct, except it's molded in one color.
  3. Hey guys how do I take one of these apart? I can't seem to find a way to do it online.
  4. I am on the fence with this one. If HobbyLobby carried Tamiya paints they would be a lot cheaper and more avalible, but that would be a heavy blow to LHS's. I work at my LHS ,HobbyTown USA, and I know that if HL started to carry Tamiya paints we would take a substantial blow in sales. It's not that our price is high on Tamiya, it's just the next nearest place that carries it is in Nashville, and unless you want to save two cents it's not worth going there. But even it HL carried Tamiya paint 30% than our price it would still be cheaper with the coupon. And lets be totally honest model builders are frugal people, I stretch every coupon, discount, or reward I can just to shave of a few cents of my purchase.
  5. I think Harry means that because your name is "Jonny Carson".
  6. WOW Ray. Your imagination far surpasses mine because I never would have thought about doing something like this. Excellent Job Ray.
  7. Yes, I remember this in HRM a while back. I loved that buick and everyone else thought it was ugly.
  8. Congrats to the winners. I find it a tad bit agitating that they didn't put up the runners up pictures last year but did this year. I still have Mixed emotions about the way the contest is done when I look at how it was this year and in the past.
  9. I stopped in today and looked for the primer and I got Ultra Fine white primer at mine! I snatched up a can as quick as I could to make sure I wasn't in a dream. I told the manager there that I was very glad they had Tamiya primer and that I would be thrilled if they started carrying more Tamiya paints.
  10. Interesting. A friend of mine just got back stateside from Okinawa, His dad is a Marine too.
  11. Great job on this one Shane. Is this going to be at the Southern NNL?
  12. Great job on this one Bob. You just keep hitting these out of the park.
  13. Welcome Tommy. Your sure in a good place to build models, there's the nation biggest hobbytown in Kennasaw and the annual Southern NNL in november
  14. Kinda figured that's what you meant, but on a thread like this I had to mention the "Dragon Corvette"
  15. The other day at work We got two of these in. Pretty heavy box. I'm interested to see one built.
  16. That looks excellent. That paint looks great.
  17. Oh man I just fell in love with that 60' Falcon Wagon. I might have to get one if the price is right.
  18. Hey I almost forgot, you moved in my Neck of the woods. Which Hobby Lobby are you talking about? The one in Murfreesboro hasn't had a kit on clearance in almost two years and never gets a restock. The model isle is pretty barren.
  19. VERY nice job. I wish I could have found that Torino for that price, I'd love to build one.'72 is easily IMO the best looking Torino and hey, Clint Eastwood drove one.
  20. Yea I'm pretty excited aout the kit, I REALLY REALLY hope that Aoshima will do a Lotus Elise or Exige. I would go crazy over those.
  21. Yea he's had his "Last" one on Ebay for a while now.And I agree with Mike, sadly he's not the best guy...
  22. I'm very sorry for your loss. Don't worry, we all go through hard times in life, sometimes they present us with opportunities to make things better.
