  1. thing is i do have one and i do wear it ; it's like there are still some fumes in the air after i turn the paint booth off, maybe i just have a low tolerence to the laquer thinner !! maybe it;s for the best atleast with acrylic you don't have to wait days before you can comence working on yourbuild

I've been using acrylics up till today then i decided to mix some enamel, modelmaster french blue for my next build (59 impala conv) mix ratio was 1 jar paint to 1/2 jar of thinner when bam it hit me like a ton of bricks a major headache that was at 1;30 now it's 8pm and still have it so if it's going to be like this i think i'll take all my enamel back and switch it for acrylic, anyone else get headaches from there thinner
  3. not sure were you are in ontario but there is a good LHS in dundas and if they don't have what you want she'll get it as for micheals after xmas there prices went through the roof to 34 to 37.00

  5. Built Box Stock not quite there yet for custom work,Painted with testors Blazing Black, I wanted a wine colour for the interior so i mixed a bit of blue with red and came up with a colour close to what i wanted sorry bout the engine not being in focus Thanks for looking
  6. In my opinion it's cheaper online, i get mine from modelexpress.net they have about 10 colours ,my local micheals has it but it's 5.00
  7. They don't stand a chance around my place not since 3 years ago they made there way into my attic chewed electrical wires and caused 68,000.00 dollars in damage caused by a fire
  8. mixed the first batch but not what i wanted, and then as i was getting up and bam, it went all over my cutting mat (that i just got today 24x36) so all i had left was modelmaster acryl and this time i got it where i wanted it , and it didn't spill will spray sunday and see how it turns out
  9. I like building in the range of 50's to mid 70's, i just like the style of them back then compared to today
  10. I can;t find the colour i want for my interior on 55 chevy i want to paint it like a wine /burgandy colour, i like to use tamiya acrylic any suggestions for mixing to get this colour
  11. it's hard to tell whenever i buy from the states it's hit or miss i,ve had some where i've had to pay duties and some i didn't, it all depends on what the seller will put on the invoice i guess, not sure if that applies to oversea shipments
  12. I have a sony 580 and i always shot in aperture mode with the highest Fstop indoors,and manual focus, outside on a bright day you won't need such a high Fstop

I currently use Bob Smith Industries Inst Cure and Maxi Cure for the most part it's realy good stuff the problem is you have to be quick , you have about a 5 to 15 second window before it's almost impossible to remove, is there something else with a bit longer window drying time, for repositioning etc, i have tried the G-S Hypo but it just keeps on running out the tube

  19. Okay the wife and i are planning a 3 day shopping trip to erie in march she makes this trip twice yearly and i have been down twice , I would like to know if there are any Hobby Shops there that i can score big, any help would be appreciated thanks

  21. i liked doing the foil it's pretty time consuming but worth it, and i'm far from entering anything in any sort of contest
  22. my first build with BMF, it is the tim flock, i was on the fence when it came to doing whitewalls , i fell of on the dark side(no to whitewalls) i just noticed the missing trim ,back on the bench it goes thanks

    Well keep in mind i'm pretty new at this and it was first time useing bare metal foil on this one you will notice the right headlight is missing it went to the shop floor gods spent 1 hour looking for it and i lost both backup lights, big paws and little parts don't go together
