  1. Looks good already! When it comes to automotive basket cases, you are the man!!!
  2. Hey, Bluesman... nice to see you back!
  3. Ya gotta love spring weather... Here in the midwest we get it all, but I've never seen hail anywhere close to that size! It must be kind of scary hearing those things pounding your roof...
  4. Pennyhead! I never heard that one before...
  5. Yup. Now that the first ones have arrived, I figure I'll be seeing mine in about 2 weeks... I guess that's the price I pay for living in a small backwater one-horse town like Chicago...
  6. That is one majorly cool model! You can't beat a cool old MOPAR. Great stuff... I love it!
  7. Anyone who can memorize all the lyrics to that song deserves some sort of award...
  8. With every car in NASCAR being the exact same generic car, not Ford or Chevy or Dodge or....anything...how do you know which one is "GM"??? Answer: There are no "GM" cars running in NASCAR. And no Fords, and no MOPARS either. It's all a charade...
  9. I like to use the sprues as holders for painting parts. I usually remove the parts from the sprues and clean them up off the sprue (remove mold lines, etc.). Then I'll take a long piece of "empty" sprue and use a tiny dot of superglue or regular old tube glue to glue the parts back on to the sprue piece (in a spot where the glue area won't show on the finished part, like the underside of a seat, for example.) Now I can use the sprue as a holder while I either spray or brush paint the part(s). When they're dry I just snap them off the sprue.
  10. Ummm... it's not the "spruce", that's a type of Christmas tree! What you mean is the SPRUE...
  11. Another way to do it is to use "RIT" fabric dye. It comes in a whole lot of colors. You dissolve the dye in boiling water, then dip the clear parts into it. The longer you keep the parts in the dye, the darker the "glass" will get. Kinda like dying Easter eggs! Obviously you don't want to put the kit glass directly into boiling water... let the water cool a bit. The big upside to this technique is that you're actually dying the plastic, not painting it, so there's no problem with runs or dust getting imbedded into your tinted windshield, like when using sprays.
  12. Not exactly. My bank account can't quite handle a Shelby! This is my new baby: And yes, it's REAL!
  13. ok, you got me. I admit, the car was originally blue with white stripes...
  14. ok, gang... real or model? I know the photo's small... so sue me! The answer: MODEL!
  15. This definitely wins the prize for "Oldest Post Brought Back From the Dead"...
  16. Never heard of that school. Is their football team any good???
  17. That's weird... I can't see any feathers!
  18. Even better question: why would you bring a suitcase full of $100 bills to a model car show? Judge bribing money??? Man, that would hurt. Losing the contest AND the money...
  19. Very cool, I like it! But as far as getting a "nicer" camera... EVERY camera is capable of taking an in-focus photo. If your photos are out of focus, I guarantee you it's not the camera... it's the operator! Check the manual and see what you're doing wrong. Are you too close? Macro setting on/off? Correct exposure for the conditions (indoor/outdoor/flash/no flash, etc.) The fact that some of your photos are in focus and some are not tells me it's not the camera, it's you!
  20. I've been busy "pimpin' my ride." So far... new aluminum billet grille, chrome taillight bezels, "blackout panel" between the taillights, louver panels on the rear quarter windows, and a brushed aluminum dash kit. I should probably post some "before" and "after" photos... Who knew a Mustang could be so much fun?
  21. "Romday"... I like that!
  22. I think Chandler was the funniest by far... could he BE any funnier??? As far as the female "Friends"... hey, I like all 3 of 'em!
  23. Not only is he a good guy, but I loved him as "Joey" on "Friends"...
  24. All you have to do to create a link is to copy the address, and paste it here. Presto, it's a link!
