WOW!
Those are fantastic! Glad you decided to become a "posting" member! Your paint work is spectacular... and that custom maroon Ford is absolutely gorgeous (so are all the others, but that Ford... oh yeah!)
Nice work so far! I'm glad you went with the split-window.
You've done a fantastic job on this. I was hoping that someone would build a version of one of my "Retro 'vettes" when I originally posted them over there on the.. ahem.. "other forum", but nobody took up the challenge.
Oh well... it's cool to see this coming together in 3 dimensions. If nobody was going to build it, I was going to have to go and do it myself!!!
That's a nice looking model for sure, but looking at it got me thinking...
When you pancake the hood like that, the engine is basically inaccessible. When done in the "real world", how in the world do you work on the engine? Changing plugs would mean removing all the bodywork ahead of the firewall!!!
Any "old timers" out there who know how it was done?
FYI: Guys, when you respond to a post that has pictures, don't quote the whole post! All that does is duplicate the same set pf photos all over again... no reason to do that. Don't quote the post, just respond to it.
I've been a graphic designer for 30 years. I do websites, logos, brochures, magazine ads, corporate ID... I've even designed a minor league baseball logo and uniform... you name it, I've designed it.
What's your idea of a "reasonable price"?
Ok... so she was "unable" to deliver the mail, but she had no problem delivering it to her self-storage shed every day???
And what's the deal with storing it anyway? What was she thinking???
That is absolutely SPECTACULAR!!!
Uwe, you are one of the most talented modelers I have ever seen. Your work is so crisp and clean... almost surgical in precision. This model just blows me away!!!
ok... I'm going to put myself right in the line of fire here with some "constructive criticism"...
I think the molded-in trim detail on the front and rear glass should have been painted either red or black. You don't often see a car with clear windshield moldings!!!
(sorry V... but the clear window moldings really scream "paint me"...)
